j30 died

theres something wrong wit my j30..wen i drive it for awhile it just dies on me and it wont start until i let it sit for a long time like the next day...and it will start up just fine..but wen it dies it starts up but wen i give it gas it dies...please help me and telll me wats wrong...

Get a check engine code and let us know .Autozone will do it free.Could be one of 100 things ,,, kinda thing

I would bet it is your fuel pump!!!!!

yeah ill do that..and forgot to say..the check engine light do flashes on and off...and the fuel pump i just changed a month ago..could it go bad again..

Check your voltage when the car is running with a multimeter. Just a thought. Maybe not the problem because you can start it at a later time after it dies, but it could be your alternator. I've seen it where a battery can gain enough charge after dying and then letting it sit, to start the car.

These are symtoms of a hull effect sensor going bad once it gets hot. Check the cam and crank sensors.

IT SURE CAN!!! I've seen it alot when a new pump goes out. I was a service manager and I've seen alot of crazy things

Sounds alot like a crankshaft position sensor or cam sensor. I had a northstar caddy that have crankshaft sensors fail constantly, you sound like you have the exact symptoms. Thats probably why its throwing a cel, and you probably have the corresponding code.

i dont think autozone can scan it...if im not mistaken is an OBD 1...check the sticky on how to read the codes...
