J30 Cruise Control Trouble

My cruise has been out for a while and I am trying to get it working again. The cruise still turns on (green light on button illuminates) but it will not set (illuminate the "cruise" light in the instrument panel). I have gone through the service manual troubleshooting all the way to the relay under the hood. But I have no way of telling if this is bad or not.

Does this sound like a relay problem? Are those easy to get?

Any advice on the matter would be appreciated.

is your speed in the working range ? I believe it's 40 to 96 mph or someting

Lube the cc cables and linkage. Swap the relay out with another if testing isn't something you can figure out.

Yeah, most of the time I try I am doing 60 or so.
