I was having some problems finding a cas for my rb20. So I went to see if there was a usdm cas that would work. One day I was at the junk yard looking for a maf, and saw that the j30 use a cas that looks just like the one on the rb20. I yank it off and buy it, not knowing if it will be a waste or good gamble. I put it on and nothing, I was like S*** wasted my money. I got to thinking about it, on the vg the cas was pointed in a different direction. I turned it about 45dig so the plug is facing up and not down, and BAMMMM she fired right up. Only two of the bolt holes line up, but thats nothing a drill and tap cant fix.

i'd be willing to bet that with a little bit of patience you could swap the CAS drives from the old rb20 cas to the j30 cas and it would be cherry.by and by the cas internals are identical, only differences are the drive style and orientation.

I took the rb cas apart but couldnt get the cas out of th case. It is running good no problems, I will need to put a timing light on it to set the timing.
