I need help!!

I’ve searched the previous post and I couldn’t find anything that was specific to the problem that I’m having. I have a 1993 Infiniti J30 with about 175,000 miles on it. For about the past 40,000 miles I’ve been having a problem with accelerating after I come to a complete stop. The problem is when I step on the gas my car does not go! When driving, after I stop at a light or a stop sign, I have to hold down the gas for about 5-10 seconds before the car will accelerate again. Sometimes its really bad like in the mornings, I have to let the car warm up for about 10 minutes then I have to hold the gas pedal down for about a minute before the car will rev above 1000rpms.

Someone told me that my cats could be clogged. About 20,000 miles ago, I had a bad exhaust leak and I replaced the manifolds and all the pipes down to the muffler. I still the same problem.

The only thing that I found on the forum that was even close to my problem was that my sensors could be bad. Does anyone have any insight on what is causing this problem? My last resort is to take the car to the dealership a get a diagnostic test done.

Thanks.

That should be your first resort to get a detailed diganosis, then comes the decision about WHO will fix what!

First thing you need to do is check your ECU codes.. Then fuel pressure, then start individually checking sensors.

It could be anything from fuel pressure/mixture to transmission sensor related.

Like the others, I strongly suggest getting your vehicle scanned.
