J30, ABS Light, Buzzing sound

On my way home I noticed the ABS light turned on in my 93 j30, when I got it home I turned off the car and heard a buzzing noise coming from the passenger side firewall (near where you charge the AC). The noise is there whether the engine is off or on. I swapped out the break pads on all 4 wheels three weeks ago and did not have any problems until now (Would this be related?).

ABS Light turns on only when the brake pedal is depress while engine is on and does not turn off until car is turned off.

Anyone else ever encounter this problem? I tried running a search but nothing came up so hopefully someone can drop some insight.

Sounds like the ABS relay needs to be replaced.

Disconnect your battery otherwise the ABS pump will drain it.

You need an ABS sensor/relay. Its a dealer only part.

This is a fairly quick DIY job. No tools are needed. Go to http://www.fuzzycats.com, look in the J30 DIY section. The instructions are there.

Update:

I went out yesterday after the sun went down to run the Diagnostic and the ABS light never turned back on. Tried to see if it would come on again and no luck (which I guess is a good thing). I will monitor it for the next couple of days and see if it comes back on.
