I just picked up a wrecked 93 J30 and I have someone who is interested in the 5 Lug off the car as long as it will fit the 240. I have searched and searched and I keep getting mixed information. The most consistent information is that only the rear will swap over to the 240. Can anyone tell me if the 5 Lug is swappable and if so, if the front and rear will work? Any info would be great. Thanks.

front won't work. it interchanges with Z32, not the S chassis.rear will work, just like the Z32 with uprights and might as well sell the brake kit too.The shafts and diff are also interchangeable with the s chassis, so hang on to that too.

Can I use the brakes off the J30 as an upgrade for my S14? Thanks for the info.

Yes. The rears especially. Look to the rears for a thicker and vented rotor as opposed to the s chassis solid.

Q45tech has mentioned this several times as a great find.

Awesome, thanks. I tried looking up Q45tech posts but didn't see the one about the brakes. Do you happen to know if it's a simple upgrade and also what is involved? Thanks again.

Very similar to installing rear Z brakes. The j30 rears are the same as 97-01 Q45 rears. You'll need the parking brake drums from the J30.

Heres a good write-up you can use.http://importnut.net/300zxbrakeswap.htm#rearbrake

Getting ahold of all the parts off the car won't be an issue because I have the whole car. Any other upgrades I can take off the car besides the diff? Thanks.

I assume your grabbing the front brakes as well. They are very similar to the 90-96 Q brakes. Same sized rotor, and the calipers look very similar. I havent been able to find a J30 FSM to determine if they are in fact identical.

The MAF is the same as a Z32 MAF. You should grab that as well.

The front J brakes are the same as the front Q brakes ..

Anyway... I would suggest posting up the parts for sale in the infiniti parts if you havent already...

I was searching and couldn't find anything except for this. Can you use the j30 parking brake assembly with z32 rear calipers on an s14?

cables and shoes interchange with the knuckles, so an S chassis knuckle or Z knuckle will accept S, Z, or J rear brakes and parking brake.

^ Yep. And I believe the Q45's (90-96 G50) can be used too. I dont know about the cables though. I'm guessing the sedans' cables are longer than the Z cables so that shouldnt be a problem.
