Thanks man but seriously i am about to drive this thing off a cliff if i dont fix this stalling problem. Everything on the car is ready to go for spring except this stupid stalling issue.

All people with knowledge of BOV or SR20dets please respond to this thread BOV Problem

Any help would be appreciated

Please dont respond to this thread because obviously you have not read all the symptoms adn dont have a good feel for the problem. Plus it will start a journal for ppl in the future if they have the same problem. Please click on the link provided if you have a solution.

Motoman your killing me. Come on that's the waste-gate actuator line. Its common practice to zip tie vacuum lines. Wtf is the matter with you? you dont run turbo? lol

lol actually i dont have a turbo on anything right now but my shelf. haha but i only had the turbo on my zenki for 4 days then took it off haha. and before that it was about 2 years since i had ka-t. but i have been researching like crazy and helping friends with turbo kits (like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2PcYTcM3n8 [there i am in the first clip putting the engine in lol] so i feel that i have a good understanding about the turbo and how the system works.

and when i was turbo i ran my wastegate source from my brake booster line. i T'd into it.

P.S. enjoy the rwd crx

edit: im in that video like 4 times and filming most of it.

During the 7 months i waited to get this Sr (f***ING ZEROLIFT). i researched my a** off on how to set it up. Wiring, turbo, mounts, etc. etc. What i found in my research was that you were supposed to put the line running from the wastegate on the hotpipe as close to the turbo as possible. Not just SRs but turbo setups in general.

I have started coil shopping since auto-X season starts April 25th. I have never tried it before but a buddy says its fun. Also will start doing some non comp drifting here soon.

Here is some info i have found about the 3 i am thinking of getting.

Brand, Cost, Damper settings, Spring RatePBMax, $1,080.27, 32, 10kg F 8kg RStance GR+, $1,255.00, 15, 8k/6kBC BR Type, $1,000.00, 30, 8K/6K

I have also looked into making my own like gordon and ian have done so im still exploring options.

I am leaning towards PBMax since i do not DD the car and i want the suspension stiff. Also because they sell 6k replacements in case its to stiff for cheap so you can switch the rear to the front and install the 6K in the rear. The only drawback being they probably wouldnt be here in time since they go out in shipments once a month

Do not offer opinions on what to buy i will decide myself. There are plenty of threads on that issue. If you do however find cheaper prices feel free to post.

well yes you will love auto cross. any car enthusiast would. as for the opinions... dont post your options if you dont want opinions lol. i vote either build your own (heard they own on the coilover depo) or megan's impressed me. haha sorry for my opinion. im verrrry opinionated lol

Well i heard back from PBM today and the response was when asked if they could get here by the 25th:

"nope, if you ordered today, your set would arrive at the end of April or beginning of May. unless you want to air ship them from Japan but that's CRAZY!"

So now i have to find a coilover for around 1000 that has 10K/8K spring rating. 8k/6k i think is gonna be to tight which is what most coilovers have. The megan racing ones are 12k/10k and i think thats gonna be way to stiff. I feel like if i hit a pothole in those they would be toast.

Ill probably make my own. Would probably have alot more flexibilty in exactly what i wanted that way.

Sorry no pics yet i am waiting for a nice day to take some pics of the finished product after i get my suspension hopefully early next week.

Just when you think you are set for the summer i found a S14 sr20 Greddy intake mani on CL for 300 brand new in box. I dont think i can pass it up. Im going to take a look at it this weekend. Hes got some other stuff like some extra rims i might pick up.

I took the easy and cheap way out and got megan tracks because PBMs take 2 months to get here and nothing else in that price range that had over a 8K/6K spring rating. If the Megans arent holding up or not perfect then i will build something that more suits my liking this winter.

Finally 15 psi again...just in time for edgewater.

Its for my Greddy profec e-01 boost controller. s***ty i know but my dude gave it to me so i cant complain. When i ordered it they said it was for the greddy boost controller but when i got it it had no Greddy s*** or vins that match. My s*** wont reach full boost its like the wastegate opens when it shouldnt . Its only gotten around 12psi in third gear and its set to 15. hope its not the valve fml

And yea def you can buy them for cheap if i decide to go another route this winter

i understand how boost controllers work (i think). basicly an air release valve, but everytime i try them they never work right. on my friends s13 sr i used a boost controller and it didnt work. so we just put in a T to the wastegate line and left it open lol. it hit 14. then we put in a slight restriction and it hit 10, he left it there. pretty much i have a bad result with them every time

ill start saving so i have some cash to send your way lol

***UPDATE***

Today my coilovers came in. I was impressed with the quality.

Here are some before pics of the car...As you can see it was monster truck status.

And after...

Here is the front tire gap after the swap...

And the back...

I still think the front needs to be lowered some more. My buddy says no. I just threw them on right out of the box. When i measure the height from the body to the ground its 6 inches front and back so i dont know if the it will look goofy with the front lower than the back.

Tell me what you think and spooled did you have the same problem?

I had my car raked (rear higher than the back) and now my car is a bit more level. Just the way the s14 is designed with the rear wells lower than the front, you are gonna have less gap in the rear than the front if your car is level.

Right now i am tuckin in the rear and my front is not tucked at all but the car is pretty level, if anything the front is lower still

...but MOAR LOW!!

Haha so did we but it didn't stick past dawn and everything was dry by noon. We were gonna go to the track but it was closed cause it was to cold? Oh well maybe next week.

Thanks for the input spooled. I lowered it down another 3/4 inch in the front and now it looks great.
