Motoman your killing me. Come on that's the waste-gate actuator line. Its common practice to zip tie vacuum lines. Wtf is the matter with you? you dont run turbo? lolmotoman399 wrote:

lol actually i dont have a turbo on anything right now but my shelf. haha but i only had the turbo on my zenki for 4 days then took it off haha. and before that it was about 2 years since i had ka-t. but i have been researching like crazy and helping friends with turbo kits (like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2PcYTcM3n8 [there i am in the first clip putting the engine in lol] so i feel that i have a good understanding about the turbo and how the system works.J14cm7 wrote:

During the 7 months i waited to get this Sr (f***ING ZEROLIFT). i researched my a** off on how to set it up. Wiring, turbo, mounts, etc. etc. What i found in my research was that you were supposed to put the line running from the wastegate on the hotpipe as close to the turbo as possible. Not just SRs but turbo setups in general.motoman399 wrote:and when i was turbo i ran my wastegate source from my brake booster line. i T'd into it.
ya thanks for the credit. lol i was getting there. haha.J14cm7 wrote:As usual Gordon is the man. The IACV adjusting screw was completely closed. Car runs great now but now it backfires on decel but oh well i will adjust it some more this weekend and see if i cant remedy that. Thanks for the help guys

Its for my Greddy profec e-01 boost controller. s***ty i know but my dude gave it to me so i cant complain. When i ordered it they said it was for the greddy boost controller but when i got it it had no Greddy s*** or vins that match. My s*** wont reach full boost its like the wastegate opens when it shouldnt . Its only gotten around 12psi in third gear and its set to 15. hope its not the valve fmlmotoman399 wrote:nice dude, i think you will be happy with the megans, but then again i have never owned coilovers just drove a few cars with them. i know i would be happy with them lol. is that ^^^ a 2 stage boost controller from ebay? i thought about getting one but then i got the turbo xs two stage.
ps if you arent happy with the megans, maybe ill have enough money to buy them from you
i understand how boost controllers work (i think). basicly an air release valve, but everytime i try them they never work right. on my friends s13 sr i used a boost controller and it didnt work. so we just put in a T to the wastegate line and left it open lol. it hit 14. then we put in a slight restriction and it hit 10, he left it there. pretty much i have a bad result with them every timeJ14cm7 wrote:

And yea def you can buy them for cheap if i decide to go another route this winter
ya not always easy with those guys. did you get it on ebay? if so just tell them, usually the china companies on ebay are good about that stuff.J14cm7 wrote:Yea its def the wrong valve i switched them and used my buddys greddy valve and my s*** spooled to 17 psi in no time. I was spiking. So now i have to argue with someone from Taiwan. I got pulled over in my driveway today for being to loud but only got a warning.
Just stop posting that cut spring thread its dumb and is gonna get locked. for god sakes its from 08
Its a megan exhaust i dont know the exact one. Not a big fan of the canisters so i got the dual.la_kouki_10 wrote:what exhaust do you have?
Yea i hope so but i think i will lower the front down about an inch tom to make it match the back. Thanks for the compliment Gord. Sons s14 looks good but please do something about that horrid BOV setup haha.gmac708 wrote:I think it looks great! I know the springs will settle in after a few miles. She will drop.
Thanks man I am gonna give it a few times out and then lower it if they havent settled. I go to Edgewater tom to see its 1/4 mile time. Ill post the results tomorrow.bllabong89 wrote:looks good. I do think that the front could come down a little but like gmac said, put a few miles on them and see if they lower.
I had my car raked (rear higher than the back) and now my car is a bit more level. Just the way the s14 is designed with the rear wells lower than the front, you are gonna have less gap in the rear than the front if your car is level.J14cm7 wrote:I still think the front needs to be lowered some more. My buddy says no. I just threw them on right out of the box. When i measure the height from the body to the ground its 6 inches front and back so i dont know if the it will look goofy with the front lower than the back.
Tell me what you think and spooled did you have the same problem?
Haha so did we but it didn't stick past dawn and everything was dry by noon. We were gonna go to the track but it was closed cause it was to cold? Oh well maybe next week.gmac708 wrote:Well..........how did you do ? (1/4 mile)Did you put snow tires on? We got 1"of snow last night.
