ya i remember taking my battery terminal off and it died also on my 95. and i had a good alt. i dont know why it did that cause i thought the alt was supposed to put out enough power to support it?? but i didnt question it and its working fine. good luck with it. if the battery doesnt fix it check the wiring over your front left tire.

If the battery has a shorted cell I think you will get the same issues. My s14 right now wont start but I can jump it and it will run fine.

As for motoman, the battery has the Ground and the Positive on it so if you pull one you kill the circuit and the car wont stay running.
Even if the battery is dead it still keeps the circuit closed so the car will run.

I pretty sure that is correct thinking. lol

LOL I'm still looking for fenders J14cm lol I'm about to give up and just call a body shop and see how much they charge for OEM ones through them.
All I can find are these Fiberglass things..

if you get fenders from europe you can get them cheaper shipped then brand new ones. and they come with the marker light.

Well motoman I would say you're right. So far I can find them shipped from japan for cheaper than what some people ask. It's crazy how kouki fenders are so stupid hard to find state side. I haves called body panel places and they said they have never even carried them.

yes they are oem only. i have looked for a while. its either stupid fiberglass or oem expensive. check ebay uk, and look for "wings" or someone who is "breaking their 200sx" (parting out). thats a way to find them or you can go to sxoc forums and look in the classifieds

I have some realitives in japan so I'm going to go through them to get some. If I never find any in the US.
Thanks for the info though.
If I go boat it's like 90$ shipping lol but be waiting 2 months.
How much do you think fenders weigh?
I said 30lbs but that sounds way to heavy.

Yea once you get a droid/iphone you will understand. Anyway, about the topic of fenders...

You arent gonna find kouki fenders for under 250. The only place that i have found them stateside is courtesy nissan and they are 250 a piece before shipping. All the prices for the conversion are posted on page one of this thread. What i would recommend if you are planning on doing the conversion is check every major cities craigslist within 1000 miles and if you find a good deal drive and get it. I drove to st louis to get mine and i dont regret a thing. And if it sounds to good to be true it is.

There is no cheap way to do a kouki conversion. If someone tells you that they did theirs for under 1000 they are lying. Keep in mind that there were only about 5000 koukis ever produced and thanks to people like motoman (sorry lol) about half of those are gone.

I texted you about those headlights kenny

^True dat...

I bought my kouki conversion for 950 with a bad passenger fender and busted cracked up headlight. I found a headlight on ebay for 180 or something that had a bad housing so i swapped the glass lenses on them. I also couldnt find a passenger fender and ended up getting one from nissan. I payed 315 with a discount from the body shop I used to work at...but it was worth it. Kouki dominates all. S15 is cool but I think the s15 front belongs with the s15 rear.

Yeah I never planed on using oem parts lol. I bought origin kit and getting a carbon hood only oem part I need is fenders, brackets and support. But J14 has me thinking of making my own brackets. I'm not affraid to spend the cash I just can't bring my self to pay hyper inflated prices.... :(

Call me crazy but i would rather have a 95 with a kouki front end for the simple reason that its the only year of the s14 that is ODB1. It makes wiring and diagnosing engine problems ALOT easier.

mine is obd1.... lol it helps when i had a complete parts 95 s14. but i also like how i have one of 2000 98's made. that is why im saving this one. i was just joking about the whole 95-96 conversion thing. i love the fact that people are switching over the the better side lol. but i love zenki's too.

Hey J14cm7 how hard was it to make the brackets for your swap?
I was going to try to get together with you this weekend and talk to you about the whole swap but work screwed me and I only get one day off for the next 2 weeks... :(

I also was going to talk to you about the headlights. I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on it and ordering fenders from japan and if I did i was going to see how much head lights would cost also..

***UPDATE***

This week i got my RUCAs in and installed them yesterday. I also got new brake pads all around and the difference is amazing. The pads were so worn that most of the warning sticks had broken off. I can finally do a stand still burnout. Yea it was that bad where the fronts wouldnt lock up.

Anyway here are some pics to show the corrected camber. Unfortunatly it raised the back end up a little so i have to lower it some next time i work on it.

And here are the tomei rocker arm stoppers i ordered. The guys from enjuku came through again with fast shipping and great customer sevice. If you have an sr, these are def something to think about.

***UPDATE***

Well unfortunatly i had to miss Carlisle due to a starter going out on the way there. I got as far as columbus and me and my buddy decided to push start it and turn back. Sorry Gord hopefully we can meet up sometime.

Since the last update the car got a decent "new" set of tires and a badly needed alignment. The toe was crazy off as you can see from the pics. Since the last update i have also added ISIS rear toe arms, a JDM grill, and the radio.

We went to edgewater on the way to Carlisle for a few hours and i ran a 13.47 and then a 13.32 so its getting better but that was on bald tires. Anyway, ON TO THE PICS...

The car as it sits now

Got my area code as my number what are the odds

and the reason it needed an alignment. This was after ONE DAY!

I hope to go back to edgewater sometime this month and get down to 12s with the alignment and camber fix.

hey so i wanted to apologize, i posted before in your thread about the kouki and zenki headlight brackets being the exact same.... they arent. although the do stick out the same distance from the core support, they have a few different holes. i lined them up tonight no dice. easy fix though with a welder. ill explain more if you want. i just started working on my car again. getting excited. its turning out real nice. thinking about doint a tube front. spooled240 is trying to talk me into it. lol

Hey man. Car looks great!

My advice would be to go up to zerolift and get your car back right now. Ask for your money back and do it yourself. They made me wait 7 months for my engine and they did all the work on my buddies 240 and we had to basically rewire the whole thing before it ran right. Ask anyone around they have the worst customer service and have an F rating from the better business bureau. Feel free to ask me any questions you want and if you wanna get your car back from zerolift i would be more than happy to help with your swap free of charge. Good to se another S14 in the cinci area.

Ahh you're killing me! That's the last thing I wanted to hear!! LOL

I know old management didn't do things very well and Rob is really trying to turn it around. We'll have to see. I'm concerned because I found the intercooler for about $100 cheaper than what they charged (everything else was in line, though) and he's saying he's not sure if he can match it because there are only a couple in stock in the country.. but I had one ready to order.

We'll see, it's still early. I would seriously hope all my parts have been ordered already considering I already prepaid for it all!! I would think I would have gotten a touch base saying it's done though but I know that's not necessarily standard practice stuff anymore...

I did hit up bbb.com. I think the most troublesome part is the 2 unresolved issues in the last 12 months.

Rob isn't the problem he's the only reason I didn't sue them. Its mike, he's completely woorthless. If I were you I would get your car back take order of the parts and do the swap yourself. Whatever you do don't pay them the 350 to do the wiring I did mine myself and ill help you with it. They completely f*** up my wiring.
