Hello

Can anyone give me a clue as to where I can get all the applicable parts for an engine rebuild. (gasket set, pistons,...ect)  I'm currently working on a J13 motor and the parts search has been like looking for water in the desert.   Alternatively I would be just as happy to just buy an E-1 or J-13 motor right of the crate if there are any sources out there.

When I first started my "get it running again " project, I went to Schucks auto parts and they said they could get me a remanufactured L-16 engine.  They might have the J-13 engine available, also.

I just completed a rebuild on a 67 J13, I had to go 40 over on the pistons, I got D11 pistons from motorpowerinc.com worked great they are dished not flattop so I guess the compression is slightly less, gasket kit from NAPA, I had to go under on all the bearings except cam which was standard, and new valves the machine shop got them no problem. I got the oil pump on ebay NOS lucky find they are hard to find but I think Motor power has one that will work, I think a J15 oil pump is the same.  Water and fuel pump from NAPA. All complete including the machine work the motor was just under $1,000.00. Hope this helps.

Thanks all.  It's surprising how many sources are still out there.  It's all just so scattered.
