Hello there. My 93 j30 feels like it wants lose control in the rear when I hit smal bumps or cracks. It use to just do it when I would make wide turns at a high speed like a curve on a freeway but now it has upgraded to bumps and cracks and is starting to get scary. The feeling is like it wants to fishtail. I'm assuming it has something to do with shocks or springs or struts but I'm not sure. I have a lot of experience working on cars but have never messed with alignment or suspension so I thought I would see if anyone here has experienced this and get some feedback.

Pretty common - that's a rear alignment issue.

IF your shocks or suspension bushings are shot, an alignment shop MAY want you to replace those first.

However, the simple answer is, if the tail-end feels like it wants to 'hop' sideways after a bump, that's incorrect rear toe.
