J Matic or S Matic For POWER STEERING?

Looking to change the steering fluid. Will only be removing whats in the reservoir. So far the thing is the fluid is yellow so it cannot be ATF...right?

What should I do? The Cap says use a Dextron but which one? A lot of dealers do not have J matic anymore and only S matic. Is it okay to use S matic on power steering fluid? Or should I just get the power steering fluid from Infiniti?

Also since my fluid is yellow is it okay to add the pink ATF fluid? I tested the color by putting a lint free paper in the reservoir and the fluid is not pink. Its clearish yellow.

I've always just used Dexron ATF...I never had an issue with my M35.

Neither.
Nissan makes power steering fluid specifically for this. Sometimes it's called Denso. You can get it cheap on Ebay.

I changed mine and it matched the color of the original fluid - dark red.

you more than likely can just use any regular ATF
