I know you can swap them in but do they give you better track times or are they better for driting ? what are all the advantages for doing this besides the fact that is a vlsd diff. ? I'm looking for better 0-60' times on the 1/4 mile track. thought that this would be an option !

it will give you much better traction off the line especially if you get some slicks, or drag radials to make your car hook up. i would reccomend contacting neo tech in santee, ca. they will sell you the differential and the axles as a package deal. you can find them on ebay sometimes. if you do the j-30 with the axles, the axles are a little too long and are hard to install. there are only a couple years that will fit your car. the differential from a 300zx, non-turbo, from 90-96 is the right gear ratio and will work with the j-30 axles, again, they are a little too long and are hard to install. the diff that neo-tech sells are from japan silvias and skylines, the axles are just right. last time i checked, they do not sell axles by themselves.

ok i got a j30 rear end the nose is 3\4 of an inch longer and it it has some kind of a sensor in the front of it ? what to do next ? the axle shafts look like they will bolt right up.

well I got it in and took it out for a spin and all seems to be well. The roads were wet so i couldn't really try out the traction, hopefully some time during the weekend or tommorow thanks guys !!!!!
