Ivory Pearl Tint

Hi! I'm having my 2004 Ivory Pearl coupe tinted in a week or so and wondered if anyone who has already done this on the Ivory, could please post pics. What do you think would be a good looking % to do? I want to keep it legal but, do want it on the darker side. I have wheat/stone interior. Thanks!

Limo tint always looks sick on white. Just roll around with the window half way down at night. I don't know how anal the law is where ur from, but they don't mess with me too much. I have limo on diamonde graphite.

Is that like 15% tint , here is a link to a pretty new tint laws for every state http://home.pcisys.net/~bpc/auto_law/tint/

here is a picture of 35% tint (Georgia only allows 32%) , try not to go directly to the tint limit , some cops will give you a very hard time and try to tell you your tint is too dark

not a G , but its a good tint for your car (Its the limit in your state also )

go with 20-35%, limo tint is too ridiculous. it's hard as hell to see at nighttime too. plus if you get busted with illegal tint, the ticket will cost you more than the tint itself. trust me

you're not gonna get stopped for the tint. but if you get stopped for speeding, they'll test your window tint if they decide to be an a-hole

I did a platinum tint on my last coupe which was Ivory Pearl. I liked the lightness of the tint with the color of the exterior. same % of tint, just looks lighter/more reflective on the outside. Sorry i don't have any pics of that one any more. See if your tinter has a sample. It was different, and got lots of compliments.

i have 15 on the front two windows and 5 on the back 3

but the top is usually down so don't have to worry about the cops here in ga

Infinititech1, does having the 15 on the front 2 windows and 5 on the back 3, make it look all the same all the way around? That's the look that I am looking for.

My bad... I think I goofed on the above question....having 15% on the front and 5% on the back would make the front look a bit lighter with the windshield lighting also. I guess if it was the other way around it might look even colored.

Nope! Not too late yet. The appt is on the 24th so, I still have more time to check out more sweet pics!! Your car looks great! My husband has 20 on his Tahoe and I'm thinking of going with that. Thanks for responding! It makes it easier to decide seeing the same color car with tint!

Just got my ivory pearl 2005 G35x sedan done today, 20%. All I can say is PUUURRRFFFEEECCCTTT!!!!!! I'm friends with a few local police officers and I got their opinion this evening. They all said "it's dark but it's ok". In the state of maryland (and probably many states), the guideline they use is whether they're able to count heads in the car to determine number of occupants. If that's not the case there's a problem.

I'll post pictures as soon as I wash it tomorrow and take some pics.

I'll add my 2 cents for folks wishing to tint your windows.

Don't assume that using 35% legal tint - means that your tint application is legal. Most cars come from the factory with a small amount of green, blue, etc tint in the glass. Once you apply 35% film over the window it can end up transmitting less than 35% of light -which means it is illegal.

My G had 35% tint on it when I bought it - I let the state troopers test the windows and my two front windows passed, but the 3 rear windows failed.

Something to consider - and also if you know you willhave to inspect your car - wait on the tint until after the inspection.

Here is my 05 35X with 20% tint all the way around. Chrome pillars I put on afterwards make the tint look even darker, but sunroof open when city drivin makes it look like it's 30% LOL, may want to try that, it works. Pic keeps coming up small (thumbnail) not sure how the rest of you are hosting your pics, pls help blow it up.

I don't have factory navi, but I've heard that a few times. According to him(tint shop) it all depends on what kind of tint you get though. Mine was a $200 job, and the guy showed me the different films and there is a noticable difference in quality, and with the cheap tint he said it would choke navi and satelite radio sometimes. That didn't make sense to me, could have been a sales pitch but who knows.

This actually brings to mind a good question, where exactly is the GPS antenna located on the factory nav, specifically the 03 Coupes if it makes a difference?
