well not exactly ... Im in the process of rebuild my maxima VG30E engine to convert it to turbo. When i removed the driver side valve cover, i found this..



Why is it so clean ? the other side is like that but near the big breather its kinda dark.

Is it because the engine was used with synthetic oil ? or something else..

btw its a 93 VG30E is there anything i should be aware of ? Thats the only engine i found around here so i jumped on it. I saw a webpage on z31.com about maxima engine convertion for a 300zx. Is this the same process for all 89 - 94 vg30E.

some of the aprts are "cad" plated as for the valley I never really thought about the color being on the aluminum heads, not sure if they adonized or applied some other coating but they shgould be gold like that but rare to see one so clean, you lucked out

Pennzoil and other oils have dyes added to them. Looks like a Pennzoil engine to me.
