Ive decided on an SR20 and need some pointers

OK, im going to be getting an SR as soon as I pull my KA. I was wondering how long it took everyone on here so that I have some sort of idea on how long it will take me.

Also if there are problems that are common that everyone comes accross it would be nice to know about them before the swap because I really want to get problems out of the way.

I know that there are alot of SR install threads but with how many problems people have stumbeled accross I would be looking and reading for days. If you guys could just say some of the common situations that you were put into when you intstalled your motors.

Also if you have ANY tips to make it a much easier quicker job that would be great! Im going to start the teardown tomarow and hopefully by the time I get it all out and get my engine bay painted I will have some good advice

took me 3days to drive in w/ a KA and out with an SR... but i had done it before... with previous knowledge (reading through searched threads) it should only take about a week or so

I just finished stating that I DONT want to sit on the computer for days looking through every last thread to see the solution to every problem.

Im just asking nicely if someone would be willing to post their little problems they had and how to fix them so I will know what to look for when it comes to these things.

Thanks nismo freak, that was alittle more helpfull then the other guys just telling me to search.

You got to understand that theres about 2000 treads that are named "sr20 swap" that means that I gotta look through every one of them to read what their about. If I find that one is a good thread then I got to read through every post of people saying... " well, I THINK IT MIGHT be the alternator." That means that I got to read on to actually find out what it is not just what it MIGHT be.
