sooooo. ive found a short shifter and a solid shifter for my RB made by nismo. any other options out there, and where might i find them. ive been googling for weeks. also been reading skylines down under.

2nd part. ive been searching for turbo manifolds. it appears some of you have been having trouble with the **** *** ssautochrome manifolds cracking. which would be expected. ive also come acrost the OBX manifold. but it appears to be the same thing. some of you have been modifying your stock cast manifold. im looking for a nice peice in the $1200 range. something quality. cant seem to find anthing in that price range. any suggestions?

thanks a ton!

As far as shifters, anything with the KA or SR works also in the rb, with slight modification.

As far as the manifolds, OBX, SS AUTO, XS POWER, Stone racing, all the same thing, ****ty typically cracks or doesn't even work (fitment issues). YOu can modify your stocker, a lot of people just weld in a wastgate or go with a more pricey unit like an hks....

My advice is your stock manifold with internally wastgated turbo, or weld a gate onto the manifold.

what sort of "modification" are we talking about here? any links you could send me to if you dont feel like elaborating??

as far as the manifold goes. from right now, im planning on slapping a GT35R on the bastid so i was contemplating a new manifold for greater flow. any more advice? im sure the shop that does all my shat would do it, but now were talking some massive $$. thanks again.

If your going to be paying $1200 I'd get a shop to custom make you one.. you could get a very well made manifold for that much money.

cut out a chunk of the stock shifter and weld the 2 peices back together, presto free short shifter... my brother did it with his eclipse and it seemed to work just fine... of course you should be able to weld pretty good as you dont want your shifter to break lol

Then that wouldn't be a short shifter. It'd just be a short stick. Not the same. Short shifters move the leverage point.

And not all shifters for the KA, SR, etc. will work. Only the Pilot/Megan/OBX type is interchangeable. Any shifter that actually changes the shifter cover plate will not be compatible with the RB without modifications to both the aftermarket plate and the striker arm in the transmission.

the pivot point must be raised to induce a shorter throw. this would be a shortened shifter. not a short throw shifter. ill have to keep researching. what are you guys running.

and because it bothers me so. slow240 IE alex has decided to sell his RB25 powered S13. im a tad dissapointed. ive been for a ride in it and well, it was a very quick car for being basically stock. kinda weird. we talked on here once or twice, next think i know, we run into eachother at a meet. good ****, but im still dissapointed.

You need to search a little bit better. Pilot, Megan, OBX, Trust and probably others fit without modification. Shifters like the B&M fit with modification. There are plenty of options depending on what you want to pay.

thats just it. obx, megan and pilot are what i do not want. i want a quality piece, not ebay crap. as far as trust. im assuming thats a greddy piece, i cannot find of this even existing. i may just have to say screw it.

B&M is about as good as you can get. I have not seen or heard of a better shifter, but it's almost $200.

I don't know about RB25. Look at the shifter plate in the pics. If your shifter plate looks similar, then you can probably do it. If you know a good machine shop, they can lengthen your RB striker arm to get perfect fitment.
