Well, I drove down to SP from Madion this saturday to go visit the shop. Well, after I found it, I soiled myself after googling over all of the supras sitting in thier parking lot. I actually ran into Ivan in the parking lot, and then we started talking once he got inside. He invited me into the shop part of the store, where I promptly started having happy thoughts about every car that was in there. His 240sx (the pictures do it no justice), a TT Fox body, a supra, another KA-T, and a Skyline to name a few. So, we talked about things for a while, and then he took me for a ride in the KA-T hatch. It was running 10 psi, w/ an engine that had 160-155-105-100 compression. Needless to say, it was on it's last leg. All I can say it, the ****er pulled like a raped ape. Also, Ivan can shift like a mad man. I got to look over the intake manifolds that SP makes, and they are amazing in quality. I can't wait for them to start making a KA intake mani.

I just want to say thanks to Ivan and the crew there for a great time on saturday, and that the shop is amazing.

Noah, it was great to meet you also. I am glad you enjoyed the shop. Sorry that the twins car isnt up to snuff. Trying to get a bit more HP out of it resulted in cracked ring lands again. The spare block and head are almost done at the machine shop so I should have that car up and running better then ever in a couple weeks. H&Ks car still pulls pretty amazing the way it is now. Even with three people in the car, second gear puts the car sideways Its still not nearly as quick as it has been. When I took the guy from Chiride out for a test spin, he actually screamed like a girl when I put the car in 4th at almost 100mph. As far as shifting is concerned, thanks. I have owned mostly manual transmission cars in my life. I really enjoy shifting and I think I do a good job getting it into the next gear. The B&M STS helps too. I do have a manifold going together for my car and for Norberts car right now. I dont plan on putting effort on getting the factory IAC etc to fit or work. With the AEM, I will be using a GM IAC on a big 3"TB for Norbert and a 4" for me. I am still eyeballing the factory intake to see what I can do with it to help with power. As soon as the motor is done on H&Ks car, I will probably try out a couple designs and see if I can produce something that is affordable and works well.

Anyway, sorry for going on..... Sorry I was busy with the TT Mustang. I am glad you got the chance to stop by and at least chat with Norbert and Mario. Let me know if I can help you out in any way.

I try not to stop by SP alot. Every time I go there to visit for a couple of minutes I end stayin till close time like a freakin groupie...including SAT.There is always something cool goin on like TT foxbody on the dyno or Marco putting down 980WHP on low boost in his Supra. It was nice meeting you Noah and Im glad you had a good time. Once it gets warmer we will have 240 meets every chance we get. And if they turn out anything like the Supra meets it will be a good time. By then my car should be by the shop so you guys can check that thing out also.

Yah, nice talking with you too. You really know your stuff. I can't wait to see your setup in action. Hopefully by the time you can start holding meets, I will have something to play with. I glad to know that there are some people that really have a strong hold on this engine. I have been spoiled coming from the DSM community. I am really excited to make some power, because my friends with their DSMs are all nay-sayers of the 240. Should be fun to suprise some of them.

Thanks,

Noah

Hey Ivan, I was thinking about it and does sound peformance do custom tuning at all? You live a waaaay away from me but just thinking out loud-- it would be pretty sweet to learn from and help have my car tuned from a few of the only people who've tuned the EMS on a KA-T before. ....Just wondering how you guys usually work that out as far as availabilty/pricing etc. I'll probably have to call you though--- yeah... expect a phone call from me tomorrow

Yes, we tune probably 100+ cars a year. Maybe 70 or so AEM EMS cars and various other engine management systems from just a SAFC to stand alones from Haltech to Speedpro. Our customer base for the Supra is nation wide. We have even had cars from Porta Rico and HI shipped here for work and tuning. Lately, it seems that people in the center of the country have been bitten by the HP bug. We have had a load of cars coming from MO, IA etc. Its actually still quite busy here even going into the slow season.

Let me know if we can help you out. As soon as you give me the word, I will have the AEM EMS you ordered here and waiting.
