So I recently came across a dude in Philly named Vinnie Paz... needless to say it led me into a rabbit hole that I wasn't aware was there, and everything that him and his people have come out with is better than anything the mainstream media is shoving down our throats. What's sad is that all these white dudes spit better lyrics and have better beats than anything that I've heard in probably 10 years or more. So if you haven't heard if him follow me down the rabbit hole where you'll meat Jedi Mind Tricks, Ill Bill, La Coca Nostra, Army of the Pharoahs and a few more. If you have heard of any of these guys then you'll know what I'm talking about.

If anyone brings up that gay s*** that Lil Wayne or any of his "prodigies" try to pass as hip hop these days can go jump off a bridge. These dudes would smash him/them like the insignificant cockroaches that they are.

Word of warning though, this is some heavy isht, especially Vinnie Paz's stuff, he's an extreme right wing muslim even though he's an Italian from South Philly, and the bulk of the stuff him and the others I've mentioned in this are anti-establishmentarian who go on about Illuminati and the NWO.

You live in Philly and just came across this clan? Wow. You're about ten years behind.

AOTP, Vinnie Paz, 7L, Esoteric, Snowgoons, Reef the Lost Cauze, Jedi Mind Tricks, Chief Kamachi, Celph Titled, Planetary, Crypt the Warchild, Des Devious, Ill Bill, Necro, Juju Mobb, Demigodz and Doap Nixon all run with the constant cycle theat AOTP is and are all very good. They're the best shows I have ever been to.

Also, not many of them are white. Most are some sort of Latin or Italian.

I've listened to some JMT before.

Remember B-Real from when he was with Cypress Hill. I like the first one (DL'ing it now).

EDIT: Just listened to the rest. Do like.

You might like some Grieves and Cunninlynguists, even though its not exactly the same style
Other UG Hiphop like Living Legends, and LuckyIAm you might be into as well.

I really miss this kind of music. The kind of music that is all heart (regardless of genre). The problem with most of todays music is that popularity seems to be the main focus of the artists, not opening up the mind (or the eyes) to whats going on around us. Deep music/lyrics last forever. One example I can give is just the other day while in the car with my kids Marvin Gaye's "Whats Going On?" came on, and I told them to pay attention to the lyrics and to see how relevant his lyrics still are.

I don't go to shows or follow trends, so I just sort of bumble along until I find something I like, then once I find it I get into everything that is associated with it. That's how I came across J-Hip-Hop, Horrorcore (which isn't very good), Math Rock, and a few of the other sub-genre's that I listen to. Last time I checked Italian was classified as being of Caucasian descent so yeah they're white boys.

My comment (you don't have to agree): This is the sort of person that would be spearheading a terrorlst act or attending a KKK meeting.

Without a doubt, Immortal Technique is massively talented. I dont even like hip hop (I'm a progressive metal fan, about the farthest thing from a hip hop fan), but I cannot deny his rhymes.

Jedi Mind Tricks is pretty decent but honestly it gets to a point where if you've heard one Vinny Paz line, you've heard them all. In fact, one of their best songs features Vinny falling on his face where a guest vocalist absolutely destroys him (Vinny wishes he could create something like the second verse of this song).

Rhymesayers is something you should look into as well. They have numerous artists with talent. I would recommend looking through some of Brother Ali's music. Its very deep and emotional at times.

Also look up P.O.S. This guy has skill.

I'm just glad to see that I'm not only one who misses the MC and styles of the past. All of this new mainstream stuff is absolute crap, even Luda is falling into Lil Wayne's style. Because the radio says it's cool automatically it is, this is stupid, it's supposed to be the other way around.

You live in Philly, where a lot of these guys are from and still reside. You wouldn't have to follow a trend to know of them. And sorry, the s14 and domo shirt lead me to believe you were a follower

Also, try telling some hardcore Italians they're white...

Anywho, good music is good. Enjoy it!
