It's simple: Because of it's gross limitations (size of round, size of guns, recoil, etc), a lack of proven record (it's really TOO powerful for "social work," see overpenetration) of many more commercially available rounds, choosing to carry a 10mm comes down to two things: you want to be different, and you need a pen15 extension. Do you need me to break it down Barney style for you?
Oh, and to further damage your credibility: the Tanfoglio/EEA Witness is based on the CZ-75, which is in turn based on the High-Power (which explains why I love them so).
Thanks for the correction. EEA is what I was looking at, and I did not realize it was based off of Hi-power.
Fighting ignorance all over the internet!

I still don't understand your "tiny d!ck" reference. Please elaborate how having a a more powerful caliber equates to having a smaller d!ck.
Think mall-crawler jeeps.

Over-penetration is not an issue with frangible hollow-points. Also, I believe the "over-penetration" argument is complete BS. A 357 is .356-.358 caliber and police forces never had an issue. The 10mm is .400. Compare 180gr. 357 = 1300fps. 10mm = 1350fps. Using Wiki which is low for both relative to handloads.
You know, you keep calling yourself a reloader but I never see you citing reloading databases. Why?
Over-penetration is real problem. You can't escape that. And the 10mm Auto is more powerful than the .357 mag, so what's your point exactly? And getting a 10mm and loading it with a frangible like the Glaser? A big "why"? At that point you're giving up everything to get nothing!

You keep saying that the 10mm chosen "to be different". These days carrying a 357, 41, or 44 would be "different" and all more powerful then the 9mm and 40s&w. Far fewer people carry these calibers then the 9mm and 40. Are they doing that simply to be different?
.357 is a time-tested round, with a fantastic live-fire record. The yardstick, if you will. No problems there. Would be weary of it's recommendation to a beginner, but you can put .38 Special in there, so... The .41 mag was a solution waiting to find a problem, and hence never caught on. I'd be weary of anyone advocating it's use with the fervor you're advocating the 10mm. Already own one? Great. Own a couple more useful pistols and want a near-wildcat cartridge in your collection? Great. As for the .44 magnum, yes, I would question a person's desire to carry a .44 magnum revolver as being anything but "Look at me and my huge gun! Yeah!" Here's a quote on your beloved Wikipedia about the .44 magnum; "n its full-powered form, it produces so much recoil and muzzle blast that it is generally considered to be unsuitable for use as a police weapon." And with the .357 having a better track record...
Taken to it's natural extension: Would you suspect motives beyond protection if you met someone who carried this as a people-killer?
10mm Auto is a good round. It doesn't deserve the handjob you're giving it, though.
