ok so i was driving put it into 1st and all of a sudden my clutch pedal hits the floor. so i go ahead and change the slave after i changed it i notice that the fork had no pressure pushing against it back toward the slave ( its hitting the back of the transmission). so i take the transmission off change clutch pressure plate bearing etc . go and put the transmission back in and still no pressure. now the bearing slides up and down the shaft with eaz but still no presure. its as if the bearing comes no were near the pressure plate. some one help me im going crazy with out a car and i cant figure it out. im not the graetest mech but im not stupid. and the problem is not the slave cylinder. everything is workin up untill the fork. oh and its not the fork cause i tried a new one and same results.

So you are getting full action with the slave cylinder? Did you bleed the clutch lines when you replaced the slave cylinder and if so you may need to replace the master cylinder. On more than one occasion I've replaced a brake caliper and replaced the dirty fluid only to find that the clean fluid seeps right past the seals in the master cylinder. Maybe you have the same issue with your clutch master cylinder. Are you sure it's a mechanical issue in the bell housing or could it be a hydraulic issue.

well when i put the clutch pedal down the slave pushes out the thing is theres nothing to push against cause the fork is all the way back. so it seems as if im not getting pressure from the pressure plate. some people have told me that it might be the flywheel that the machine shop i took it too didnt resurfes it right. but im stumped. any other ideas would greatly appriciate it .

I'm confused. So you didn't have a problem with the thing until you put a new clutch in it and had the flywheel machined? A machine shop would have to screw a flywheel up pretty bad for you to not have a clutch any more. So from the back of the crank shaft you have your flywheel bolted. To that, you install you clutch disk and pressure plate using and alignment tool. From there, you have your throw out bearing and fork (with the little metal retainer clips for the bearing). The only thing left is the hydraulic system. Maybe your confusing partial slave cylinder throw for full slave cylinder throw? Tell me more.... interest is peaked.....

dude i finally figured it out the machine shop resurfaced the flywheel flat the first time i did my clutch about two month ago when they should have put step up of 0.06 i went back to the machine shop and threw the flywhhel in there face and told them to redo it in a nice way. got it back and was still douting if it would even work cause the step up is barely there so. i bolted everything up flywheel clutch pressure plate etc. moment of truth came me and a friend lifted the transmission up and into the whole and there it was pressure on the fork so now i can actually bleed the slave. long story short all of this for nothing cause someguy flattend the flywheel. so tell everyone you know that if there having this problem and its not the slave its the flywheel. not even the dealer ship could figure it out and yet one of my dads mean *** beaner friend new it and can beaner cause im hispanic.

I'm still a little confused about the flywheel, but hellyea! Good show. And good clarification on the "beaner" comment. My honkey heritage wouldn't allow me to speak such words if I wanted to. That and Nico isn't much for racism. Awesome! so thats one more 240 back on the road. Success stories give me warm fuzzies!
