First things first...............nope, wife is an only child............sucks fer you!! I got the exhaust on......... 40 minutes to remove old exhaust, by hand, no air toolsneed 14mm socket, a small prybar or screwdriver, and channel locks20 minutes of it was removing the muffler....sheesh whatapain!
40 minutes to install new system....need 16mm socket and 16 mm wrench, 14mm socket to tighten original size nuts at catsOn a scale of 1 being easy and 10 hard........for the experienced wrench, about a 2 inexperienced..........about a 4 or 5
Sounds awesome, the closest thing I can think of right now to compare it to is the Subaru WRX with a good deep exhaust tone......put 2 of those next to each other and thats what this system sounds like . At idle, it is barely noticeable and at cruising speed or holding a speed- same thing - tires make more noise than the exhaust.........then you romp it and all hell breaks loose!! Its not raspy just a good clean tone on acc. or decell, no popping or reverb type feedback. I still have the stock cats on too. NO RICE SOUND HERE!! The only downside is that the tips are cheap thin metal rolled steel, will have to invest in some rolled tip ends. Not bad for under $500 including shipping. My wife and I are e-bay sluts !!!!Now just see how it holds up over the long term.
As far as installing the spacer, I might take it back off......it seems to have taken all of the bottom end that I gained from the exhaust away. Although it does make a monster amount of HP in the top end.
Is it better to disconnect the battery after installing a mod or just let everything self adjust with time?
