Do you have a good Ground on the battery? Test the battery with a multimeter!

it cranks, but thats about it, i gotta find out why it wont fire, ive got all the wiring in, but i found a cut wire, its blue with a red stripe....and i cant find where it goes or what it plugs to, im pretty sure thats part of the problem...

Where is that blue w\ redstripe at? Is it on the upper (main ) harness or lower harness?

if its the BIG blue with a red stripe in teh main harness, thats ignition power i believe, it leads up to the coilpack harness ultimately.

thats exactly where its cut, does it just need key on power??

it obviously doesnt need just key on power, i tried that and got nothing, i gotta do some investigating tho,

does the wire need to go to any relays or to the ecu??

yes, it is for ignition power. So it is cut up by the coilpack harness?

alright, is the fuel pump coming on? If it is then make sure you don't have you fuel lines crossed. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge?

best thing to diagnose that no fuel situation as well is to get a friend to crank the car while you do this.....

take a screwdriver, put the bit end on the injector, and the other end of it in your ear, and it will amplify the click that the injector makes so you can tell whether its firing or not.

should be a rhythmic clicking.

another quick question I have an injector resistor out of 1st gen dsm does it clip right into the harness or do i have to cut and splice???

Cut and slice. That's what I had to do. It works just fine.

I had this same problem. I had spark, fuel pressure, and was cranking but it would not run on its own. We then used a stethescope to hear if the injectors were clicking and the werent. There is a red wire that goes into the resistor. This red wire is suppose to get its power from either the ECCS or ignition relay and supplies power to the injectors.

Bascically this is how its suppose to go:

battery - ignition switch - relay - injector resistor - injector- ground(computer controlled)

Just cut the plugs off and connect the wires. On the harness side their are five colored wires and on the dsm resistor pack their should be 1 white wire and 4 black wires.

Connect the red wire on the harness to the white wire on the resistor pack and the other wires just connect them together. I don't what everybody else did if they are using a dsm resistor pack, but this is what I did and it works no problem.
