$21,700 with 37k miles on it....the exterior and interior are nearly flawless....the past 2 owners really babied this car

exactly why i decided to get rid of the Alti and spring for a G....with all the mods i was planning on doing to the Alti, buying a G with just about everything that i wanted turned out to be cheaper....and quicker :-)
Rob.Vegan wrote:How many miles did you have on the AC and how many miles are on the G ???
17k on my Alti and 37k on the G
phobs wrote:Nice G, but if its rebadged into a skyline you gotta rock the JDM grill and emblems!
i bought the car like that....if i had it my way i would have left the intiniti badge on there
dangeris wrote:Nice Upgrade Bina! What mods are you planning for the new baby?
performance wise i plan on getting a z-tube, 5/16 plenum spacer and the '06mt revup airbox.....after that i only plan on getting the f90bt to replace the stock head unit, and thats all i plan on doing to it....its perfect the way it is.

Congrats on trading up. Have you considering re-badging it back into an Infiniti?

I'm sick of seeing "Skyline"s here in the states. Re-badging it as a Skyline is probably one of the -iest things that a person could possibly do. It's just as bad as the "Infiniti Skyline G35t" that I saw the other day.

It's not a Skyline in America, stop calling it one. It's not fooling anyone with half a brain and it makes a person look like a huge weeaboo.

would you think its rice for someone in Japan to rebadge their Skyline into an Infiniti G35? i only think its rice to try to make your car look like something its not. the G35's are exactly the same car in Japan (Nissan Skyline 350GT) and the only differences are the badges and a few other cosmetic changes

Your car is not a Skyline here in the states for those very reasons, not to mention that it's left-hand drive and not right.

And no, it's not "rice" for someone to rebadge their Nissan Skyline 350/370GT in Japan as an Infiniti G35/G37. It's just plain stupid - the Infiniti marque doesn't exist there.

HA! You need to read both parts of your arguement...it is called the Equality Property! (Or Property of Equality...)

In Japan an Infiniti doesn't exist?!?! Last I checked the Japanese allowed importing and exporting...just as much as a Skyline can be in America, an Infiniti can be in Japan! In EITHER case it would have to be imported...and be THAT much more rare/unique.

Skyline = Infiniti just as Infiniti = Skyline!...that is world wide...that is why we draw the comparisons...

Also...we use the term Ricer because it is cheapest to turn a civic into a ricer...if it was cheap for them to turn a Focus into 'fake racecar' would they say someone "hotdog"ed their car? Trying to make fun of us in America? Just a thought, haha

well with this arguement you can also say that Skylines that were imported here from Japan arent really Skylines wither because of all the modding the cars have to go through in order to be legal here in the US.

there's nothing rice about badging a car on what its called in another country. its the same car lol.... 350gt sounds better than g35, if our cars were Altima 250GTs in japan, id so get those badges.

plus i never see people complaining about Fairlady Z badges... how are those any different?

With your logic, then the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution here in North America isn't a real Lancer Evolution because of the driver position difference. Same applies to the Subaru STi. If you check the vin number of the G35, you will see it begins with a J signifying that it in fact came from Japan. Our Altimas have the vin numbers begin with a 1 signifying it was built in North America. Are you saying that Japanese car manufacturers should change the name of every car that they decide to export to the US.

Nissan them selves changed the badges for the target demographic of this car. Do you really think people that aren't car enthusiast will purchase a $45,000 luxury coupe from Nissan. This is why there is an Infiniti brand. Same as Lexus and Acura. I even heard of some dealerships installing the JDM badges upon delivery of the vehicle.

In the end, people who think it is rice or stupid rebadging the same car that are just named different in another country are simply brainless.

i do agree that you should get the full JDM badging kit if you plan on going that route, but remember i wasnt the one who put Skyline on the back of my car to start. i actually think im going to take Skyline off and re-badge Infiniti back on.
