I'm not a fan
would you think its rice for someone in Japan to rebadge their Skyline into an Infiniti G35? i only think its rice to try to make your car look like something its not. the G35's are exactly the same car in Japan (Nissan Skyline 350GT) and the only differences are the badges and a few other cosmetic changessuperblackcoupe wrote:Congrats on trading up. Have you considering re-badging it back into an Infiniti?
I'm sick of seeing "Skyline"s here in the states. Re-badging it as a Skyline is probably one of the -iest things that a person could possibly do. It's just as bad as the "Infiniti Skyline G35t" that I saw the other day.
It's not a Skyline in America, stop calling it one. It's not fooling anyone with half a brain and it makes a person look like a huge weeaboo.

Your car is not a Skyline here in the states for those very reasons, not to mention that it's left-hand drive and not right.bina12834 wrote:differences are the badges and a few other cosmetic changes
HA! You need to read both parts of your arguement...it is called the Equality Property! (Or Property of Equality...)superblackcoupe wrote:Your car is not a Skyline here in the states for those very reasons.
And no, it's not "rice" for someone to rebadge their Nissan Skyline 350/370GT in Japan as an Infiniti G35/G37. It's just plain stupid - the Infiniti marque doesn't exist there.
bina12834 wrote:differences are the badges and a few other cosmetic changes
well with this arguement you can also say that Skylines that were imported here from Japan arent really Skylines wither because of all the modding the cars have to go through in order to be legal here in the US.superblackcoupe wrote:Your car is not a Skyline here in the states for those very reasons, not to mention that it's left-hand drive and not right.
With your logic, then the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution here in North America isn't a real Lancer Evolution because of the driver position difference. Same applies to the Subaru STi. If you check the vin number of the G35, you will see it begins with a J signifying that it in fact came from Japan. Our Altimas have the vin numbers begin with a 1 signifying it was built in North America. Are you saying that Japanese car manufacturers should change the name of every car that they decide to export to the US.superblackcoupe wrote:Your car is not a Skyline here in the states for those very reasons, not to mention that it's left-hand drive and not right.
