You need more power to start the car and less fuel. GO and get you a can of starting fluid, disable the injectors by unplugging them and use the starting fluid to get your engine to fire. And last but not least, ground. Please ground the block to the chasis as well as the head. Doing these things should get you back-up and running again.

well, i checked the spark today, looks like the coils are all putting out well over 40k volts each. and they all fire correctly. the timing seems to be fine, so i doubt it is firing at the wrong time. im guessing that ive got so much fuel that it cant combust. the safc doesnt seem to be doing its job, and im guessing it is the culprit here. maybe it got fried.

a new important piece of information i have discovered is that the tach doesnt move when i crank it, meaning the ecu isnt getting a signal (so of course it wont run!). the safc is reading maybe half of what it should be rpm wise, topps.

so, anyone want to burn me a chip? 510cc injectors, gt28r turbo, z32 maf, 8lb boost. not only will i pay you, but i will love you forever.

oh, and C, ill definately take that overflow bottle off your hands. just tell me where to send the money, and how to pay you. thanks!

ok, well, i went and messed around with it and i still dont get a tach signal even when the thing isnt being used by the safc as well. disconnected the safc with no change whatsoever. maybe my ecu is fried.

theres a very good chance that the ecu is fried, though it could just be a loose connection. i was wondering if someone could maybe give me an estimate on a new ecu with a chip in it tuned for the above. i know i cant really do much, but if the price was as low as humanly possible, it would be great. i dont really have much money right now, but i could always ask some friends for a loan (uuugh...) since this thing has to be running, like, NOW. and i think my friends understand that, haha. aaaanyway, ill let you guys know if i find anything else. thanks!

EDIT: just took the ecu out and checked the grounds on the harness, all seem to be okay. one thing that got me though was that i just took the ecu out and took the casing off it. the ecu is NOT socketed, it just has a "SWAT" sticker on the main chip... i havnt heard of tuning them this way very often. kind of unusual, and now i guess i have to get a socketed ecu whether i like it or not...

If you're not getting a Tach signal, make sure the CAS is working. That is where the Tach signal originates. I THINK that it goes to the ECU first and then the gauge cluster. I would check the signal at the ECU and see if you get ON/OFF pulses when the motor is getting turned over. You may have to use an analog multimeter for it to read easily...

well, i just checked all the wiring going to the ecu, as well as the ecu itself (no visible damage, but that doesnt mean anything) and have found nothing wrong. we checked the timing to make sure it wasnt 180 degrees out, which it wasnt. the safc still has the correct values in it and seems to read okay, so no problems there. im stumped.

i know i cant check the timing properly without the car running, but we did it just to make sure it wasnt way out. of course, it seems to be pretty dead-on.

i have no idea whats going on. i think about the only possibility is that the ecu is fried somewhat. strangely enough though it seems to be doing everything it needs to run just fine.

we have fuel and spark. the wiring checks out fine; correct voltages everywhere (as per fsm). ive got no idea. about the only thing i can think of other than the ecu is that maybe the safc is shot (which would not seem likely at all).

i dont want to borrow an ecu just in case mine is fried and i fry another one. if someone wants to put a chip in a socketed ecu for me and let me check if the car will start (and if it does, buy it), i would just die from joy. any ideas? please help me. im way past the "out of ideas" stage.

also, if someone wants to tey and start their car with my ecu, it would be awesome. that way ill know if it is in fact fried or not.

edit: oh! and the tach is still not working...though i havnt the slightest clue as to why it isnt.
