HOneslty, I wouldn't even try cleaning them. It's a pain in the butt. I tried cleaning mine and ended up losing this little bitty piece smaller than a pencil lead. SO both windows could be moved up and down from the driver's side, but if a passeneger wanted his windows down, he had to ask me to do it. He could roll it up, though!!
Try and find some from another car. I just bought a new passenger switch from some local guy for $10. He was going to sell me both switches for $20, but it turns out that his were from a '95, and since mine is a '96, the harness on the driver's side is different.
The funny thing was that he had just picked up these switches at a junkyard because he was having problems with his windows. I think it's a 240 thing....
My driver's side window is now starting to act up a little, so I am going to have to get a new one to replace it.
EDIT: I figured I'd go ahead and check out how much new switches would be:
http://www.nissanpartscheap.com $190 for the driver's side, $24 for the passenger side.
