yes people you read right! my car is running like a fuking champ! i got my charge pipes back today from being TIGd and having the iacv nipple welded on after the maf. i trimmed three of my pipes (4 total now) and started to button all of it up. once i was finished and had the iacv behind the maf, i went to go give it a shot. fired right up (i was waiting for it to cut off) then it still kept a perfect steady idle. hellz mother fuking yeah i finally have my baby back and shes strong! yall dont understand how fuking happy and relieved i am. lol i even had to take an extra xanex just because i was so excited and worked up. anyways back to the story... so i turn my heat on full blast and let the car idle to get the coolant system bleed and to top it all the way off. watch all of my gauges and everything looks perfect. oil psi is up when i first started and came back down one it warmed up. never over heated, steady constant 20 vacuum pull, and steady egt. so i put some air in my bald a$$ steelies and threw everything in the garage so i could do a test run. drive around the block a few times getting all the rust off my rotors and going through the rev band just to see how she does. everything is great and i proceed to my local gas station to put some fresh 93 in her. filled her up and went for a drive. my god im def not use to the spec 6 puck. that thing grabs instantly, i def have to get use to that. i prob drove her for a few miles going through the gears and just watching everything. it drives really really nice. ITBs whaaaaaaaat??!??!?? well one thing did occur... my passenger window doesnt go up anymore and is stuck in the down position. i just threw the cover on her and called it a night. im just to excited to think clearly about anything. tomorrow im going to pick up a window motor and some 5 lug hubs so i can get these works mounted up. i would like to give a BIG thanks to dontbugme and everyone else who posted on the 160 post 5 page long thread. dontbugme really is the guy who got my car to run with his keen eye, so thank you sir and you gotta give me directions to your house so i can give you a big kiss. there is now another ka-t roming the streets so watch out now! oh yeah, no leaks what so ever either (fluids, exhaust). YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh yeah, i would also like to give a big thanks to me for keeping at it and putting all the hard long hour work into building this thing. no one touched any part of my car excpet for me, so thanks j-z .

i was thinking more along the lines of a laser sight for my sks. forgot to mention this before, but my transmission was kinda notchy going into third something, going into first from a roll, and into reverse. during the build i put a quart of redline light shockproof in the transmission and its smooth as butter now. totally changed the way the car drives. good shlt!

thanks everyone. i just woke up and jumped out of bed and said the bltch runs! lol yeah, im gonna go fix my window right now and give her a well deserved bath after sitting in the same spot for a few months. sucks the entire 5 page thread was at first because the iacv was before the maf and not after. then it turned in to some huge a$$ electrical issue and all i had to do was throw two grounds on the motor. just those two simple things held me up for how long? 2 months now maybe?

WOOT! 25 miles on her so far and she drives nice! thats with the A/C on too. i did notice that when cruising in any gear at about 2k-3k my egt is around 1200F. thats just normal driving and not even getting on it. is that normal? i richened my afc up a bit and havent done any cruising driving with it since, so ill see if that lowered it or not. my egt probe is right beofre the turbo inlet and inbetween the first two runners. im about to go out and do my timing right now. set it to the stock 20 degrees? i have an apexi ITC ive been waiting to install till i got her running right. i guess thats something i can do later on if i have time tonight. is 1200 normal for egt during normal driving?

Glad to hear it and also you might want to make sure it is actually the window motor going out before you replace it. My window switches have actually cause me trouble before.

I have had to take them apart and clean them real good with contact cleaner.

Yes, 1200-1400 deg F is normal. I have heard of up to 1500 on high boost/low timing.

yeah i just went to my buddys shop today and plugged in a working motor and it worked. then i said wait lets try mine again. plugged it in and the fuker worked. i guess its something in the driver side switch. how do you clean your switch exactly? yeah and my timing was way off before i set it and turning it down to 20 degrees made the temps go up to 1400 from 1200. the timing was way up there. good thing im just easy driving right now.

I'm up and running now too I got 113mile son mine. Got it at 10psi. I do little pulls just to see what it was set at. Only problem I got is a mysterious slight oil leak, and coming to a stop it doesn't want to hold idle. We need to meet up this weekend or next.

sweet! ive got 70 miles on mine now. im running a 4psi spring in my tial. boost comes on so quick i accidently heard the wastegate open once. that was only one time i did that. its just easy granny driving for me right now until i get her on a wideband and see whats up with these egts and my A/F. im in the middle of a 5 lug swap right now, so i dont know if shell be done for this weekend or not (parts). but the weekend after i should be game. we and rn240sx should meet up for some long overdue ka-t action.

HOneslty, I wouldn't even try cleaning them. It's a pain in the butt. I tried cleaning mine and ended up losing this little bitty piece smaller than a pencil lead. SO both windows could be moved up and down from the driver's side, but if a passeneger wanted his windows down, he had to ask me to do it. He could roll it up, though!!

Try and find some from another car. I just bought a new passenger switch from some local guy for $10. He was going to sell me both switches for $20, but it turns out that his were from a '95, and since mine is a '96, the harness on the driver's side is different.

The funny thing was that he had just picked up these switches at a junkyard because he was having problems with his windows. I think it's a 240 thing....

My driver's side window is now starting to act up a little, so I am going to have to get a new one to replace it.

EDIT: I figured I'd go ahead and check out how much new switches would be: http://www.nissanpartscheap.com $190 for the driver's side, $24 for the passenger side.
