Hey guys, its been a LOOONG *** time since ive been around on the mailing lists or even the forumns!!! Glad to be back...but its a good thing, my cars had no problems!

Lately my front left (at least how it sounds/feels) has been knocking, sometimes when hitting bumps, or just when I take a turn in a certain direction... Is there a way to tell if my shocks are shot? any special ones to buy, good time for an upgrade ?ThanksRoss

go to each corner of your car and push down on it. If it starts bouncing like the stomach of a fat mama running on a treadmill, then you need new shocks. If the shocks are good, it should reurn to original height with minimal bouncing.

I was being sarcastic... but I meant the same. Good shocks shouldn't bounce.

should have seen my driver side strut when i took it to the shop to have my suspension upgraded. they had to compress the sring to keep it from shooting apart the strut housing. i had completely broken the strut they said the piston rod fell out after they got it apart. my front wheel was sittting likt this / , it was amazing it didnt give out an screw up everything

its definitely a knock...almost a crack...whats the rod bushing look like?thanksross
