I was going to get the ECM/TCM flash done at the dealer and then they said it wasn't covered under the powertrain warranty even though they told me it was on the phone the day before. What warranty did you guys have to use to get this done? Should I try another dealer maybe? This dealer is one of the worst i've ever dealt with.

ITB and TSB are just addendums [add ons] to the FSM, to explain to techs how to resolve problems found after FSM was printed.

Warranty just covers failures. Modifications redesigns are usually under the 4 year 60k general warranty. The 6 year/70k warranty is for power train covered failures.

Orginal purchasers and regular extra profitable customers [90 day visits] often get special above warranty consideration by their selling dealer who may go out of their way to persuade Nissan that you deserve extras.

Thanks for the info. The dealer is going to cover it under their 30 day warranty and waive the deductible!! I can't wait to see how this car goes now.
