It Was a Great Run

Some jackass decides to hit and run my M last week. Over $25K to fix so she's done. It was fun while it lasted but on to the next.

Yeah, it was at 4:30 AM on a Wednesday, sound asleep in bed. They even left their grille and half their bumper. I was able to figure out that it was a red C Class, 2012 or newer.

So sorry that happened. Grateful you were safe asleep for it. I reckon it's time to start looking for another M whilst waiting on the insurance check. I hope the police find that Merc and present him / her with some serious charges !

It was a toss up between a 5.6 Q70L and a 5 Series. Decided to try something different and went with a 2013 M5

The bmw's and merc's are pretty sweet, but after owning one european sports sedan (actually an estate) the cost of maint is too steep for my blood... on warranty they're great, out of warranty they are not

My thoughts exactly on the maintenance. I was considering a nicely used BMW 5 series but thinking about maintenance costs, stuck with Nissan product

Yeah, its a fun car but probably won't keep it once the warranty runs out.

Thank you! Yeah, really fun car to drive but the interior is ok. The cup holders are terrible.

Definitely made sure to get the extended warranty on this.

We own a 2011 328i sportwagon. It's got 65K miles and maintenance has been normal *knock on wood*. That M5 is an upgrade in my book. Nice pick up!

Thanks all! Its pretty fun driving around here and a little scary at the same time, too easy to break the back wheels out. I can't wait until this rain stops.
