does it make a difference which way pistons are put into cylinder? the rod has that little bump which way should it face?

The little dot faces forward and the oil squirter goes on the opposite side of the squirter in the block.

is there a specific piston for each cylinder? cuz i bought some oem used ones not sure which came from which cylinder
