It squeaks when i step on the clutch pedal!!

does anyone have any common ideas and remedies as to why i hear a squeak when i press the clutch??

Most likely spring on clutch needs some grease. It happened to my car too. I used WD40 but that only worked for like a day. My advice is to use some good quality grease and put it directly on the clutch spring. If you get under your steering column you'll see it directly above the clutch pedal. Press the clutch in a few times and grease it up accordingly (be careful your fingers don't get pinched by spring, it hurts like hell.) This is what I did and the squeaking is gone. Hope this helps.

grease it up... this is a common problem... grease will make the sqeak go away...

grease!! good!! thanks!! hMmM, technoman, only a month?? uh oh, hope mine goes away for good hehe!! but yeah i will use WD-40 for the time being since i got it laying around, then i will et lithium grease, how much does that run for??

any kind of thick grease should work (real thick, like penut butter), doesnt really have to be white lithium grease. Vaseline might even work, could even be better actually. good luck

no, vaseline should work. the only reason i wouldnt trust vaselline is if there were rubber seals. the petroleum could eat through it, but because its just a spring and a pin, it should work pretty damn good.
