I'm sure someone else has (or has had) this specific issue... I'll elaborate.

Every now and again, when I go to remove the key from the ignition of my Q, she won't give it to me. Pisses me off. Ya know the little button you have to push in to release the key? It will just not want to depress. When this happens, I have to take off the little plastic piece surrounding the ignition (it just pops in and out) and push this little red lever back that lies next to the button- then the key comes out just fine.

You probably need a new ignition key and/or key switch.

I don't have the same problem as you, but my key sticks and I have to negotiate to get it out. I have to turn it back and forth and a few times before it comes out. The black button works fine me. In my case it's probably the cylinder.

I might would try a bit of graphite lubricant and make sure you don't have a pile of keys on your key ring. Heavy keyrings are notorious for ruining ignitions!

I've been meaning to get some graphite- occasionally the trunk and the driver's side door will be sticky too.

ive had this lovely problem, i donno, i just sprayed some liquid grafite in the key hole, and after time it had gotten alot better, sometimes it still does that because the shifter push knob didnt pop all the way back up when its put into park. i just sprayed some air into it and then some grafite lubrication.
