OK i have a s14, automatic, open diff. Ive participated in drift practices and a competition put on by Ter-Tech at Hieleah Speedway. I entered in the amature class and easily took second place out of 18 or so drivers. Maybe it was a considence that i did so well but i placed over a sr powerd s13 and other NA 240s with lots of suspension work.

In the next few months i will have my car turbod and a manual transmission installed. I plan on entering other compeitions towards the end of the year.

Do you think i have a chance of winning this sponsorship or will my proposal be overlooked because of my car and under a years driving experiance.

It's entirely up to you. We are going to be reviewing all applications fairly and we will take the whole picture into account. Experience is not the most important factor for this sponsorship, but attitude and a willingness to compete are. It doesn't matter to us what your car looks like, whether its auto or manual, whether or not you are better than the next guy, this is a sponsorship that is based on a lot more than aesthetics and experience. The TEs are entry level coilovers and they aren't meant for pro drifters anyways.

The last guy we sponsored from Iowa wasn't a pro drifter but he had a good attitude and an even better application. He's also now a friend too

ah, no fair for s13 owners! I had heard about the incident with the customer returning those coils cause he had an s13. I'm hoping there will be a dumb s14 owner ordering kei office coils from you in the near future!

LOL where did you hear that from? No, the customer had an S14 but wanted to upgrade to the XT Alphas.

We're too busy at this point to make trips to the East Coast for shows. Hopefully someday we'll be at the point where we can leave the office and do something like that
