I entered in the amature class and easily took second place out of 18 or so drivers. Maybe it was a considence that i did so well but i placed over a sr powerd s13 and other NA 240s with lots of suspension work.
In the next few months i will have my car turbod and a manual transmission installed. I plan on entering other compeitions towards the end of the year.
Do you think i have a chance of winning this sponsorship or will my proposal be overlooked because of my car and under a years driving experiance.
It's entirely up to you. We are going to be reviewing all applications fairly and we will take the whole picture into account. Experience is not the most important factor for this sponsorship, but attitude and a willingness to compete are. It doesn't matter to us what your car looks like, whether its auto or manual, whether or not you are better than the next guy, this is a sponsorship that is based on a lot more than aesthetics and experience. The TEs are entry level coilovers and they aren't meant for pro drifters anyways.
The last guy we sponsored from Iowa wasn't a pro drifter but he had a good attitude and an even better application. He's also now a friend too
