Cities across the nation are setting record heat temps. Over half of all states have experienced over 100* in the past couple of weeks, many of those have seen over 100* for many days in a row. I was wondering what some of you are experiencing. I know Torry has just been miserable for the past week. He posted up that the heat index today in Minneapolis was 118*. Monday, it was 128* in Council Bluffs, Iowa (w/heat index) and in Knoxville, Iowa, it was 131*. HUMIDITY SUCKS.

Phoenix, surprisingly enough, hasn't been all that bad or unusual. The highs are supposed to be well below 110* for the next week with chances of afternoon thunderstorms (monsoon season). While the humidity will be slightly higher because of the precip, it doesn't get anywhere near what the people in the Midwest are experiencing.

How is it where you are?

It's been in the 90s for quite a while in Southern California.
But we occasionally got a few spikes up to 100 degrees.

Ugh, I hate summer heat.

I'm glad I'm not in Korea like I was last summer though, the temps were in the 90s with ridiculous humidity.

Mid 90s! High altitude heat kinda sucks, because it literally feels like you're melting when the sun hits you. Quite comfortable when out of direct sunlight, though. Next to no humidity!

Our next door neighbor commutes back and forth from ALASKA. Every three weeks, he goes from -30 to 100*+. Dude is a bad man.

I like messin with Sasquatch

Yeah so tomorrow and Saturday are supposed to be the worst. Supposed to be 110+ with humidity (unknown amount). Suprisingly enough, this year seems pretty easy on the humidity especially for this area. I always remember summers being 90s-100s with 85-100% humidity every day.

We're supposed to touch 100 here today and tomorrow. I don't mind global warming. Kinda nice to have Florida weather in Pennsylvania, especially in the winter.

I used to live in the Midwest and then the Northwest for a bit as well. Dry heat is 99999x better than humid heat. I lol when people think they're 95 degree weather with 80% humidity feels way cooler than our 105 with 10% humidity.

It's a cool, tickly 99 degrees here in the far north Chicago 'burbs. Heat index is only 102, though, so that's alright.

One thing I hate about southern and mid-american summers is how 20 bugs fly in the moment you walk through the front door. And when I go biking in the evening I get at least a few of them in my mouth.

The sounds of the bugs at night are pretty awesome though.

It's nearing the hundreds down here. And the humidity makes it even worse. Plus the fact that I've been trapped in meter rooms all week. And a hot, empty warehouse.
