~50k miles. Install will be done at Silvia Werks as soon as I get my igniter, MAF, coldpipe and IC in the mail. It is going in stock except for BOV, IC, and fuel pump. DP, cat, and cat-back go in after that followed closely by clutch. Should have all that done by the end of May.

Bonus!!!

Not the stock CA turbo. From an SR, but not sure if it is a T25 or T28 yet. Got any numbers on it?

It says "M-24" on the compressor housing. On a plate on the exhaust housing it says:UC2118J14411-50F00

Oh yeah, says "A/R 80" on the compressor as well.

And on kind of a circular flat spot on the compressor, it says 1 2 and either a 8 or B.

I believe this is a T28 Turbo, T25 don't have the flange on the input side, unless it is a 300zx turbo.Very good chances that it is a t28

CONGRAT.

Good Job.

Ok cool. So at least it is a good, solid replacement but not really an "upgrade". I got it from eBay seller JHot of Agusta, Ga. Paid $1200 shipped. I am pulling off the transmission tomorrow and look at the clutch. Also, all belts seem to be new and the engine is crazy clean. Very well taken care of and well handled.

Did anyone else notice the engine tag said CA18(DE) and not DET?

Converted non-turbo? Sean won't be the only high compression CA running around anymore!

I was wondering about that. What could this mean for me?

it means don't boost it too much... but it will be responsive :)

if you could get some pictures of the turbo coolant lines I can tell you if its a DE or DET. The DET block has holes in it for the coolant lines to go to, if its a DE block he'll have to rig it like I rigged mine;)

the other possibility is that its WAS a CA18DE that someone swapped a CA18DET in over in Japan. The motors are so cheap there I doubt someone would mess with converting a DE to a DET...

It has coolant line fittings on the block. Seems some one got the wrong tag on my engine.
