I really like the concept behind it and if it functions as smoothly as the demo videos portray then it could be pretty practical. Although I don't get the interface that the screen would use to communicate with the Zune, digicam, cell phones, etc. It would probably be some sort of proprietary chip that would communicate but I don't see which transfer method they'd use...Bluetooth? Wifi? Cellular? I really doubt the manufacturers that are independent from Microsoft would be very inclined to include whatever the device needs to communicate without some sort of incentive...

Still neat though. Could you imagine the points you would get having a party and that behing your coffee table?

Seriously though! Someone puts their drink down and it displays what they have in it around on? Definitely neat. Practical? That's debatable.

Yeah, maybe in 40 years when everything catches up to that level. I think its awesome, probably the top end clubs and restaurants in NY and LA will work first.

That's what I was imagining. It'd probably be a good advertisement point for the higher end clubs. It's definitely cool as hell. I'd pay a higher door price just to tinker with it LOL.

I would too. I wish they would do conferences on my end of the states so I can take a look at it.

Still needs work. I would hate to put a drink on it or something that would ruin it.

No kidding. That would be one expensive piece of equipment to replace. I can see it's practical purposes for things like restaurants, or clubs. But I remember that promo ad they ran about families using it in their living room for photos. No normal person is going to want a computer the size of a coffee table in their house.
