...I've turned into one of THOSE people.

Tired of washing as often I do because of the dust around where I park. Hopefully it works as I hope it will.

Hello,
My name is Larz and I am a (gulp) car cover owner. I have been cover-free for almost a year now and I feel great.

Actually, since this car won't fit in the garage (due to a 1968 Cadillac Fleetwood - also under cover, jet skis, wind surfer, assorted junk), I thought it a good idea to place a cover over it to protect it from beach sand and elements. However, even though I got a very expensive multiple-layered cover, the sand still gets under it and regardless of how careful I am when removing it, scratches still appeared over time. I polished out the scratches and I now use it to cover the above mentioned stuff in the garage.

I had one once upon a time. We had trees that dropped sap all over the place.
I came out one morning and removed the cover so I could go to school only to find that my car had been hit! That was an awesome surprise... Never bothered with the cover again.

Hit? With sap? Or someone hit it and covered it back up? lol.

My bike goes under the cover for winter, but other than that I don't use covers.

Haha!
The cover was to protect the car from the sap... Somebody hit it with their car and put a giant dent on the rear quarter panel.

Lol, sorry for the scare.

That's VERY unfortunate to hear because where I park there is a LOT of sand. I was actually more worried about when taking the cover off and it touching the ground debris would get on the underside and cause scratches. Your additional info makes that worse. You're basically telling me I tossed away $100 and i should stop using it immediately smh.
