Hello - I've been researching this site for the past month all in anticipation of my new ride and I finally picked it up a few days ago!!! Although this is a FX35, I like the look of the FX50 and decided to mount the 21 inch wheels. Ofcourse, now I have to find a way to get rid of the stock 18 inch rims/tires (anyone interested, let me know)!!! I am heading straight to the body shop tomorrow to get estimates on painting the lower moldings....I want to have that unified look. I can't believe Infiniti missed this....cars of lesser value have color matched moldings...oh well!!! These are the first few pic's I took ... enjoy. Will post some more later...especially after the lower moldings are painted!

I will definitley post some more pics - heading to a few autobody shops today for quotes. Looks like they need about a week to complete the job. Thanks.

Make sure you work with a very reputable and experienced body shop! The last thing you want to have happen is a poorly matched paint job and paint flaking/peeling within the first 1-2 years.

Turnaround time = one week. Cost = $1700 (negotiated down from $2K). Hope this helps.

Hello - sorry for the delay in response. I got the rims from a guy in Atlanta (I found him on this forum!). They were not cheap, but I really liked how the FX50 looked on these rims and really did not like the stock 35 rims, so I took the plunge. Finding tires was a nightmare - there are only two brands that offer 21 inch tires, so not a lot of selections/choice out there. I looked everywhere for the 21 inch rims, but as you may have found out, they are very difficult to find. Keep searching and good luck!

The new 21" wheels set the FX off without question. But the FX would've looked good without the color matching job too.
