Well gents i can finally say i have seen the true potential of this engine. I replaced the walbro fuel pump and the demons that have plagued my motor have dissappeared. I'm glad. Did some small tweaking such as timing and resetting fuel pressure reset ecu. I have truly arrived.

ive got a bosch 044 motorsports pump in my car, overkill as it supports well over 700hp...the bosch 040 pump works well in most cases and is somewhat easier to install intank than the 044.

Tomei's use the 300zx TT pump, but make it a direct drop in and hassle free install.

I am personally using a denso pump for the supra TT.

mine ran fine for 3years+ no problem. i'm lucky or you got a lemon.

my new set up will be a surge tank and combination of walbro (or stock) pump to feed the surge tank and an external aeromotive pump to feed the engine.
