It's been a long time, but need bearing advice

okay since i've been on here i've done some very stupid decisions.
i sold my twin turbo drift car, bought a 3000gt and a 2+2 n/a.
sold the 3000gt for more than what i paid for it BUT!!!!
blew all the money away... then life hit hard.
I lived with and took care of my grandma, she died earlier this year.
leaving me pretty much clueless and lost in life. It was officially time I grew up and stopped relying on my elders.
With all the responsibility's of life on my shoulders, money has been super tight.
So I maned up and used my 300zx as a trade in on a 5 speed red is300.
I have now been slowly getting back on my feet, managing money and learning the hard knocks of life.

I miss one of the only things that kept me happy, my 300zx's!
I got a good buddy that owns a toyota/import repair clinic
He has a 92 2+0 white with red interior for sale.
$1500 comes with extra motor and crap tons of parts.
only bad thing is...it has a small knock coming from the bottom end.
1. could i replace the bearings without an engine pull and be okay?
Or
2. should I swap the other motor in, and hope for the best?
and lastly
3. stay away from the car?

any help would be appreciated!! I missed all of you guys on here and i'm ready to get into a z again.

1. Yes, depends on the condition of the crank, its really a pain but is doable. Find out the reason the knock happened before doing the bearings otherwise you doing them all over again.

2.Whats the story on the second engine?

3. How is the body? Interior? Overall condition?

Well the body is near perfect!!! No dents at all, the interior is good too. Seats are shot but its 20 years old! Haha and I'll fill in with more info in the morning ! I'm Gonna go check it out sometime tomorrow!
