You sure that it wasn't just a hawkeye? They're pretty similar.

It was a "hawkeye" with the new front end.

I like the way that looks. What's up with the rear though? It looks longer than a normal STi.

Oh. Didn't think of a chopped roof. It's pretty obvious now.

What..did Subaru raid the Toyota warehouse looking for Celica wings? That can't be the production version...
I'd rather have the STI SE.

The new front end is not known as the hawkeye. 06-07 are hawkeyes. Bugeye, blobeye, pigeye/hawkeye/flying V, Toybaru.

If they ditched the huge wing it ok in my book. I still trade mine for a new one. Though through me a 07 limited in Satin White and its done deal.

The blobeye kinda grew on me, actually. But yeah, it's lightyears ahead of the new Sonata. I can't stand the way the widebody is done on the new WRX/STi though. On the older ones it was better blended. Now it looks like someone found the bargain bin at pep boys and combined the findings with an ebay body kit. It's especially bad with that stupid two-tone paint scheme that's been carried over from the older style.

Is this car supposed to be a tribute to transformers?

It's as ugly and gross as the GMC Terrain.

yes, but way more appealing to me to wanna drive than a Terrain.

part of the appeal of the EVO's and STi's has always been the functional ugly...I wish we got bugeye STi's though :( That's always gonna be my favorite body style.

Saw one of these at local meet on saturday. The dude had pre-ordered it and it got shipped to subaru early by accident. This is gorgeous in person imo. Then again, I love subies. They are only a look a mother could love lol.
