Ok, so i have my turbo, wastegate, manual boost controller, turbo fittings/flanges, and bov for my KaE. Iv'e never done a buildup like this by myself so i am going to need alot of help. Iv'e started work on my manifold, so far i have my flange and main tube w/wastegate tube welded up. It still needs a few days to have ready but it was super simple to make. My questions involve my wastegate, and vaccum lines. First the wastegate. It came with a rediculous 30lb. spring! I wanted to know if you would reccomend a 3.5lb. spring or a 5.82lb? spring for my stock motor (120k miles). Also my goofy friend Branden had his new 95 civic turbo in Urbana yesterday to show it off, and he had a really simple reliable looking setup. He had his bov connected to his brake booster (good idea/bad idea for mine?), and he had a OBX 12:1 fmu connected to his fuel lines (better than a pressure reg. for mine?) Plus i need to know wich fitting on my wastegate goes to what vaccum line (pictured below.) Can anyone help!!!!

Turbo:A/R .48 exhaust intake .42/ball bearing turbo

Can anyone suggest what i am going to need to complete this budget project, besides what i already have?

I want to run 8psi or less. So wich spring would work best with my wastegate and boost controller?

Thanx to anyone who helps!

pics will be added later cuz i don't have batteries for my camera! lol

30psi? thats insane.....everyone has a 8psi spring but ive heard you get a little power loss and you're actually boosting 6psi so yeah...

12:1 disk for a FMU is way to much for your injectors AND 6-8psi of boost..go with a 8:1

for the wastegate, there are 2 ports....the top port is for electronic boost controllers but uve stated that you have a manual boost controller so you would only use the side port. (maybe its diff location because i dont know which wastegate you have i'm not sure, this is a Tial design im referring too) well the side port you T if off a vaccuum line (people tend to use the FPR line, i use it as well) you can T off your MBC at your wastegate vacuum hose as well....

now for the question about what else you need...its a bunch of stuff but your off to a good start. hopefully someone else can tell you. i would tell you but i have to go church! hope i didnt confuse you. good luck

Also i need to know if i need the metal tube that goes onto my exhaust manifold, what does it do? Plus with a 8:1 fmu, will i need a fuel pump, if so what size? Any other upgrades besides a computer upgrade or injectors that would help me from running lean? (I'm trying to avoid messing with the computer or injectors if possible)

you'll want to use an inline pump if youre using a fmu. they work better for high pressure than intank. about the vaccum source, i tapped a distribution block into the brake booster line to use for all my turbo related vac lines. heres a bad pic:

its the silver circle. it has 3 ports but for right now i'm only using one, the other 2 are capped off.

I think you are talking about the EGR valve....plug the hole with a nissan nut..not sure on the part number and make a block off plate for the EGR...go to the stickey about emissions on the intake manifold or whatever its called. youl find what you need there.
