Finally got the Z started this weekend!!

After a manic morning fitting the exhast manifolds and checking fluid levels etc. I actually got to fire it up!

Built up the oil pressure, flicked the kill switch and ..... nothing! A bit of throttle to get the air speed up and bang, fired up and settled into a 3000rpm idle! Bit of fiddling with the linkage and managed to get it pretty stable at about 1000 rpm.

Running was unfortunately cut short as the oil filter seal kept blowing out anytime i blipped the revs. Need to investigate but I think it's just the thread on the housing is too long.Amazed by the sound of the thing though, has a very hard-edged sound lika a cammy race car. The way it revs upp is just amazing too, feels like almost no inertia.

Will get some pics and video ASAP

Cheers all, I know I should have taken the camera but it was getting dark by the time we finished so prob wouldn't have looked much good anyway.Haven't quite been 5 years, just about 3 I think but I've probably only spent about 30 days working on it in total.
