You can add me to the running rb club now. Well it's been running but with problems. Just went over everything over and over and found things I f'd up on some of the late night wrench sessions. Now she's running great!! Like to say thanks to everyone here that gave me info, and hope to pass on what I've picked up. Now that i got her running on stock setup I'm ready to change some stuff. I'm changing the intake, eliminating crossover pipe, injectors and turbo. Open to suggestions, looking for an honest 375 to 400 hp. I have a q45 mass air, looking at holset hx35-40, and 550 injectors. Any suggestions on injector brand and sizing and which way on holset from someone with firsthand knowledge would be helpfull.

stock crossmember and hood closes without bracing cut. Mounts home made, Set pan 5/8" off steering rack and as far back as possible. I was watching down pipe to steering shaft and hood clearance to get the best of both.

odd looking hot pipe, but congrats, nontheless.. i see that pipe need work, help reduce lags.

as far as injectors goes: any high imp side feed injs will work; DEATSCHWERKS, JWT, RX7, etc.... lots to choose from.

Because I'm running 2 fans and I dont want those zip ties through rad I made a shroud to hold them. Dipstick is in there just the handle broke off.

can you throw more info into this?im working on my own mounts, actually i wanted to use the rb25det mounts and crossmember since i have them bothI was thinking a spacer, i have access to a milling machine and already have some 7075/6061 stock waiting for me to figure out what im going to doI had it stuck in my mind to just put a spacer inbetween the crossmember and frame to lower the hole thing down.

Anyone know the exact clearance you need?

Or can anyone give me ideas?

Also your lower control arms would be lowered, if dropping crossmember. Added problem

Yeah i just figured that out from another member, haha

I was talking clearance from the TB/Intake collector to the hood with, how much room is needed to be made

Ok take the motor and shove it all the way back to the fire wall, with the pan about 1 inch off the steering rack. Then get under car and with trans jacked up about where its gonna go check to see if shifter is centered in hole. See what you need to add to body trans crossmember to bolt up. Once trans mount is figured look at doing engine mounts. Your'e going to have to watch trans mount, engine mounts, steering to downpipe , pan to rack, hood to TB, and drive shaft angle to see what works for your car incase something is tweaked. My clearances were pretty tight but I did solid trans and motor mounts. Its not really that hard once you get going on it. aluminum driveshaft from shaftmasters.com bolts right in.
