Well, if anyone remembers the 'New life for a j30' thread, it's finally done. The engine has under 50k on it, the 60k maintenance is done, UR underdrive pulley, and it all works great. Just thought you guys should know I'm like, part of the club now, haha.

Next up-chip & scratch repairclaybarcarpet cleaning / interior detailsale?

I'll probably post a few pictures in the next couple weeks.

Wait a minute! All that about the engine and not a single picture under the hood?

Hahaha! I'll get more, promise. I have to clean things up and wipe things down a little bit.

That's cool. I'm just giving you a hard time. Congrats on getting it all back together and running.

Unreal, I just saw your car at the lakefront in Shevegas last night. I have a 1993 J30 that is slowly dying. It's a very uncommon car in this area, as you well know, so I just found it coincidental when I saw it on this board.

I had originally asked how much you were asking, but I looked at your old posts for that information. You mentioned a mechanic who worked on the car before. Is he around here?

Woah, another dude from Sheboygan with a J? That's nuts. The guy who did the work is Tony, and he lives on 15th St. near Verifine. He really seemed to know what he was doing, especially given all the parts that had to be taken off of the old (J) engine and put on the new (Z) one to make it work. They're most definately not identical, but everything is running great. Given the parts around his shop and the number of repairs he seemed to move, I trust his work as much as (or more than) any mechanic I've been to. I just have an intermittent check engine light that I need to look into, but I'll get around to checking those codes soon enough.

Anyway, I passed emissions today and started taking a scotch-brite pad/drill combo to my wheels. They're kinda beat up, so I'm either going to try to polish them up, or maybe just paint them. I'm leaning towards paint, since it seems like it might be less of a hassle to get it looking even and nice and whatnot.

Oh yeah, and I got a chance to take a carpet cleaner to my interior...it looks so much better than when I got it. The carpets were filthy.

Hey guys. This is in the for sale section, as well as Northern CO Craigslist. I really want a Z, heh. So uh...if you know anyone looking...
