So, what was up with the crappy compression test results?

retested today after drivng like a mile total.now it's 225 225 230 195.i'm guessing the rings just weren't seated good enough before, since we were testing it only with the starter having turned the crank.

Cylinder #4 still looks a bit off. Are you going to be doing any particular kind of break-in on the engine? Keep us posted...awesome project. Been following the drama on your website.

Edit: You're in CA...right? With compression that high and the legendary California gasoline, what do you feed that thing?

i've read about a few of ways to break in motors for optimum power. the one i'm liking now is alternating moderately hard accelleration and letting all the way off the gas, letting the compression slow the car. i guess this way the rings get shaped to the cylinder walls better. anyone have a better method?

with my massive exhaust leak and not-so tuned timing, it feels a little weaker than my old motor, so we'll see how it is after that's fixed

once i get the timing all set, i'll take some video of it driving around. i have an safc coming sometime next week (i hope). so then it's off to the dyno for tuning.

yeah the intake sounds NUTS! FWAAAB!!
