It's going to take a long time to get used to not seeing this in my garage:

Yeah.. i'm crying a bit.

I had some serious second thoughts about it.. and basically broke into a cold sweat as the guy who bought it drove away.

The funds will go toward finishing part of my basement since my second son was born 3 months ago and the house is feeling cramped.

Now I can start on my next project. Note the motor on the stand in the first pic..

My car is in good hands.

The new owner is another NICO member from the Madison, WI. area.

He's planning to install a cage or at least a roll bar and race the car... so it'll finally get the chance to play a little bit. Hell.. I bet I only put like 8k miles on the car in over 4 years. So it's good that someone will actually put it to good use.

As sad as I am about letting this car go.. I'm just as excited about the next project.

I'm shooting for 500hp from a 6.0L version of the Chevy LS1. I'll be dropping it in a S14 that I've had stashed in a buddies garage for over a year now.

Good to hear you're sticking around. You and 94_240sx are a big part of why I frequent this site - to have a visual of what's possible.

I'm honored. I get to the point where I can't get rid of this car, so I'll stick around for a long time.

Welcome to the 'vert forum Shawn.

Normally i'd instruct all new members to put their car in the registry and post some pictures... but that's not really necessary for you. Though we do need to edit the owner name in the registry.

Anyhow.. I'm sure you found them by now.. but I put the exh. manifold studs and bolts on the passenger seat for you.

Hope you enjoyed your drive home.

God my garage is empty.

I've already got the next project.

I picked up a S14 shell last winter and have been storing it in my buddies garage since then. It needs a new dash, front end parts, and some mechanical stuff (bent axle and control arm on right rear and tie rod on right front).

I have an LQ4 motor on a stand in my garage. It's the 6.0L iron block version of the LS1. I'll pick up some L92 heads and intake direct from Chevy along with a custom cam and it'll run close to 500hp with no forced induction on regular pump gas.

What's frustrating about the build is that i can make big hp for cheap.. but putting it to the ground is not cheap at all! Transmission, clutch, driveshaft, rear end, wheels, tires, suspension.... it's going to get pricey!!!

Oh Noez!! Oh man, i was even a little heartbroken when I saw this.I sure as hell won't forget our trip in it! What a funny situation! I still laugh at it when i think about it.

Good luck with the S14 build! It's a shame shes not a convertible though! If you need any help with it, or an extra pair of hands, just let me know! I'd love to come out again and help out.

Looks like you kept the wheels though, i always liked those!Mind me asking how much you got for the vert?

Still have any spare vert parts lying around?

Dude, get real. Sell the car and keep your balls. Don't be a puss...

Seth, I feel for you. I was shocked to see this. On the one hand, it's just a car. On the other hand, you've put a lot of work into it and you will regret selling it eventually. I don'[t think I've ever heard a story from someone who sold a car/bike/etc when they had a kid and not then say later, "Man, I shouldn't have sold that..."

Hopefully that kid you had is worth it...
