It’s a Christmas Miracle

I have the best friend in the whole wide world. You know what he gave me for X-mas? I mention that I’ve been looking for the plastic trim piece on the trunk, where the backup light are, and guess what when I opened the big box he gave me? It was the trim piece. Man, that thing has been broken since it was my dad’s car when he past away 5 years ago. It was broken a few years before that. I’m going to install it this weekend. Has anyone ever removed one of these? I figure it shouldn’t be that difficult. It’s probably a few nuts behind the unit and that’s it. If anyone knows how to install this, any tips would be appreciated. It never wind up being as simple as you assumed.

There are several nuts on the inside of the trunk lid, be sure to find them all. Pry gently around the edges until the piece comes loose, it may be stuck as it's been there a while. Little touches like replacing that make all the difference in a nice car.
