Finally the big moment of truth. I install the fmic and finish wiring up the harness in the battery area. Time to get some oil pumping. So i remove the plugs and turn the engine over watching the plugs for fire and there is (woohoo). So i disconnect the ignitor chip and a few revolutions later i got oil to the valve train. Turn it over awhile longer just to make sure the oil is flowing to everything. I install the plugs and turn it over and it doesn't even try to start. So i am like dam i hope i didnt fry anything. Maybe its just flooded. Well i can't find anything wrong with the fuel and about to pull the plugs again to check spark and it hits me like holyfield the ignitor is not plugged in LMAO. Plug it in and turn the key woohoo nice rumble. First time my 240 has ran let alone the sr20.

Alright i still have a problem. When i connect the battery cables the headlights come on and will not go off. Anybody got any ideas?

I disconnected the 2 harness plugs in the battery area because i rewired them according to HT,didnt change anything.

I took the headlight switch out of the dash still the headlights are on. High and low beams work i just cant turn the headlights off.

The only other place the harness was messed with was changeing the dash plug.

ThxPhilip

it sounds as if you may be feeing power directly to the headlight circuit-double check your splices and find the wire that leads to the headlights-not the one to the switch-find this and your problem should be solvedgood luck!!

Quick The actual install itsself was probably about 3 days. Although it took me almost 5 months from the time i got me motor set do to waiting on parts.

ScooterLooks like what i will be doing tomorrow. Was hoping somebody might have ran into something similar and could tell me where to look first. I have a few more resources on monday morning to contact.

Thx for the inputPhilip

Thx No that is the hks type s IC. I wanted the blitz but everybody says there on order not sure when its getting here. Wayne at phase2motortrend talked me into the hks. He said it was the same core as the blitz only real diff is the hks piping is powder coated ( explains the cost).

He speaks the truth. It's more piping quality. I like the Blitz, then HKS, then GReddy. The endtanks and brackets are different on all the models also, but that doesn't make a difference.
