Phase one of my turbo build is finished, man was that a great feeling getting her running again.

I took off the intake manifold, exhaust manifold, heads, and timing chain. Replaced the HG with a cometic full metal HG. That lowers the compression down to a more boost friendly 9 to 1. Replaced the timing chain, man was that a job.

Took off the oilpan and welded my DIY oil return 90 degree fitting behind the AC compressor.(im keeping the AC for my build, it blows so cold i couldnt see taking it off ^^)

Everything fit back together like a glove. I ran my oil feed line and installed anAutometer oil pressure sending unit. Stripped the intake manifold of all those damned evaporate emissions control things, along with taking a saw zaw to my EGR. Plugged the EGR spot with an ebay special 10 dollar block off plate.

Sandblasted both the intake manifold and the valve cover gasket, was going to powder coat everything either white or yellow, but i got lazy and i need money for tires. Figure ill do it on down the line after i get some more cash in, and when i make an intake manifold for it.

So all i have left to do is install the turbo, intercooler piping, BRM exhuast is still in the mail, turbo timer, and Megasquirt.

Im gona do a better writeup on everything later with pics but.. ITS A CELEBRATION @#$%%'s!!!!.

Here is just a pic of her before i started....

Be weary of doing too much at one time, you might get all pissed off and want to sell everything, only to find out no one will buy it.

I hear yah, im not like that though. I love working on stuff like this, and the hard parts already over with. I work on it every day and get a sense of satisfaction from doing so. In a few weeks you'll see my Ka-t complete thread, trust me ^^.

Well, remember at the end of the day, it was that flange that did it .
