Okay, i bought a pair of caliper months ago, i don't even remember, so long time.

so, i thought i should rebuild it, cleaned it with bead blaster, cleaned/inspected cylinder, etc, and! here's where i'm stuck

you know the rubber piece for outside of cylider, keep the dust out of cyl, how do you fit it in? it just don't. it has to be fit both cylinder wall and piston at the same time, but it's impossible. anyone have caliper rebuilding experiense? need a piece of advice.

thats no help to him, and rebuilding a caliper yourself is not cutting corners, it is getting a new one for aprox. 30 bux and some of your own time.

Its not hard at all. After you pop the cylinders out and replace the seals, you pop the cylinders back in. Don't push them all the way in. The rubber dust covers should have some metal rings that go around them and hold them in place at the end of the cylinder. I have rebuilt stock calipers and Z calipers before.

im going to college for this stuff but there is a tool made (plastic or metal) that u sit on top of that ring, and hit it with a hammer to seat it perfectly...forgot the term but its what we use when we do break jobs. On the inside of the tool, there will be indentions, for different sized rings. Its this way on a single piston caliper..since yours has 2 pistons..then they should sale a smaller version so you can tap each in individually. call the zone or part place.
